Great pod!

Great podcast! BUT cool it with the sound effects. It adds absolutely nothing to the conversations being had and distracts from the purpose of discussing all things marching arts.

Work in Progress

Avid podcast listener - couple of quick notes for y’all: - work on that sound equalization. The mix isn’t mixed. Microphones are a work in progress, but when I have to crank the volume to listen to one section and frantically lower it in another isn’t great. - who is speaking? Literally, we hear first names but no one is announced in full at the top of the show. - the special guests aren’t also (consistently) fully named. If I want to follow them, I have no way to do so outside doing a deep dive. There’s no social or contact to follow/view their work/promote/etc… - playing a game where people have to write down multiple items. Either cut the “prep” time, or ask the questions prior to recording. No one wants to listen to dead air - or worse, bad dead space banter. - if you’re going to name drop someone NOT on the pod, include minor background info. Your audience won’t recognize every name mentioned, especially with such a broad cast from different fields/regions/etc. - as a former guard member: WE ARE NOT CHEERLEADERS. Some of the panel very obviously have no idea how to talk to/treat guard. We’re a huge part of a band’s visual program and not being treated with respect kills a portion of potential audience. - Kill the text a friend segment. See playing a game - we don’t want to hear the texting section. It adds run time to the full program and nothing else. Like, how do we know anyone is actually looking someone up? - the entire structure of the show is weird. Why not have a wind/brass section, a guard section, a percussion section - keep the same group convo but focus it more… Or break it up differently - Music, Visual, Development, Show Design, etc… genuinely feels like I’m going all over the place. This will also help with pacing and ad breaks. - your presenters do NOT seem to be giving any sort of heads up about content per episode. Are they not getting written questions ahead of time to come up with a specific, poignant answers (that can be edited if not great). Just seems like an easy miss. - you don’t acknowledge anyone that has been on the episode. I don’t know how to contact them or follow them or anything. Again - easy miss. I wanna like this and keep listening but it needs work. Reach out if you want help.
