Welcome to The Restored Mind podcast! In this podcast you will break the cycle of self-sabotage through faith and mindset transformations. My mission is to help you create and build a strong mental cornerstone where you will experience true peace and joy in your journey.Imagine changing your entire perspective and building a strong foundation that will lead you through obstacles you may face. If you could recreate a new version of yourself, what it would look like to gain control over your thoughts instead of allowing your thoughts to control you? You could be living a life free from the "what ifs" scenarios created in our own minds. This allows you to be more present in your daily life instead of worrying about all the possible outcomes of one situation that we made up in our head. Here, we are leaning into God's words instead of our own as a resting place when we want to be held, comforted, and protected. We are going to talk about various topics and strategies on how we can improve our way of thinking that will better our mental space and overall well-being. Hi! My name is Caroline Thao, a daughter of God, wife, mother, and fitness enthusiast. Stepping into motherhood is something I never thought I'd be doing, let alone with a man in the service. I have 3 beautiful children but have also experience 2 miscarriages in the past. In 2020, we went through our second miscarriage, and it broke my heart. Just as with the first one, I felt guilty, unworthy, and ultimately started feeling sorry for myself. I was angry and stopped talking to God. In April of 2020 I decided I would get into fitness to gain some control of my life. In the beginning, my fitness journey was more about vanity, but that changed after I went back and dug deep to answer the question “WHY fitness?”. Were the physical changes really going to bring me the peace and healing I needed? The answer was no. I still felt empty inside and that was when I found myself diving back into my faith. As a matter of fact, my fitness journey has been a huge catalyst for my faith journey. One of the greatest understandings I received from this comes from Philippians 4:13- " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." God never left my side during the heart breaks, the hard nights, and the dark times where I lost myself in my own negative headspace. I believe he brought me into fitness to show me that when things are hard, I am still able to grow through the struggles. My mindset slowly began to shift as I saw just how beautiful, patient, loving, and devoted He truly is. I'm here to help you build a strong mindset that will propel you forward into a life of peace and joy. There is freedom waiting for you! So, if you are ready to build a 2.0 version of yourself, grab your water (or whatever you like to drink), throw on your walking shoes and let's get going because it's always 4:13.
