    Trust and Sacrifice

Send us Fan Mail 🎙️ Trust and Sacrifice: Do They Go Hand in Hand? Have you ever participated in a trust fall? It’s one thing to say you trust someone, but it’s another thing to close your eyes, let go, and depend on them to catch you. What happens when God asks us to surrender something we love? What happens when we don’t understand His plan, the waiting seems endless, or the cost of obedience feels greater than we can bear? In this episode of Blessed Winds Bible Messages, we’ll explore the lives of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and discover what it means to trust God when we cannot see the outcome. We’ll look at Abraham’s willingness to offer Isaac, God’s provision on the mountain, and how the story ultimately points us to Jesus Christ, the ultimate sacrifice for our salvation. Faith is trusting God enough to surrender what we cannot keep, what we cannot control, and what we cannot see the outcome of. We don’t sacrifice to earn God’s love or salvation. We surrender because He has already demonstrated His love for us through Jesus Christ. Join us as we consider an important question: What are you holding onto that God is asking you to surrender? 📖 Scripture References (KJV) Genesis 12:1–4Genesis 15:1–6Genesis 22:1–14Genesis 24:12–19Genesis 24:23–27Genesis 24:63–67Genesis 25:21–26Genesis 25:29–34Genesis 27:18–20Genesis 27:25–29Genesis 28:10–15Genesis 32:24–32Hebrews 1:1–2Blessed Winds Bible Messages — Encouraging believers to grow in faith, trust God's promises, and keep their eyes on Jesus.

Is Saying the SInner's Prayer Enough?

Send us Fan Mail What exactly happens when someone prays the “Sinner’s Prayer”? Is there a specific prayer that saves us, or is there something deeper happening when we call upon Jesus Christ? In this episode of Blessed Winds Bible Messages, we take a biblical look at evangelism, the Great Commission, and what we are actually telling people when we lead them in a prayer of salvation. There is no single, prescribed “Sinner’s Prayer” found in Scripture. Yet the words commonly spoken in such a prayer can reflect biblical truths: acknowledging our sin, recognizing that we have fallen short of God’s glory, asking for forgiveness and mercy, believing in the virgin birth, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, trusting in His finished work, and receiving the forgiveness God offers through Christ. But the prayer is not the power that saves us. We are saved by God’s grace through faith. The episode explores an important question: Does simply saying the words make someone saved? Scripture reminds us that salvation is not about repeating a formula or merely honoring God with our lips. Genuine faith involves the heart—and genuine repentance produces a changed direction. We look at what it means to move from being a sinner separated from God to being forgiven in Christ, a new creation, and someone who seeks to turn away from sin and live for Jesus. The Great Commission is not simply about getting someone to say a prayer. It is about making disciples, baptizing them, and teaching them to follow everything Christ commanded. The goal isn't just to get someone to pray. It's to introduce them to Jesus, help them understand the Gospel, and walk with them as they grow in faith.
