I’ve been going to Belize every year for 25 years since my husband grew up there. I’d heard this story but not like this…the awful things this poor lady had to endure. I admire the bravery of her and those who helped her.

I didn’t know about this story prior to listening. The more I listen, the more I feel like the journalist is pretty one-sided for Jasmine.

Really hard to feel sympathetic. Not much about the victim

Very accurate pic of Belize, I fear - coming fm someone born and raised here. Ms Hartin’s odessy felt like a Kafkaesque fever dream for sure. Prolly could’ve gone w/o episodes on getting-to-know-the-Aschrofts, but I get their utility for someone unfamiliar w/ them.
