But, actually, most of us are brainwashed into thinking that keeping up with the Joneses is the way to happiness. Well, it isn’t. This show reflects on the life lessons drawn from my research into Old Hollywood personalities, current affairs and my own journey to creating a life that is truly mine.     Matriarchy might be the most aligned and systemic solution to finally become unapologetically yourself. Because in a matriarchy, everybody is equally important in building a thriving community with children in the center. This might be the only system that allows everybody to thrive instead of barely survive.

    We all would like to have a manual handed to us to become ourselves - to know what our purpose is, what job we should commit to and whether or not we are truly as crazy as somethings think. This manual indeed does exist. But it's not a shortcut, neither a quick-fix template. It's rather a deep dive into everything coded in your personality from the moment you were born. Your astrology and human design charts tell you everything you need to know to become the person you are supposed to be.

    Authenticity

    It is one of the most talked-about words in the wellness, spirituality and self-development world. Authenticity. But: The concept - as circulated - might be keeping you stuck and small! For quite some time, influencers and creators are floating the idea that authenticity is the holy grail to success and happiness: “Just be yourself and success will be yours!” But, what it does more often than not is promoting the opposite – somehow, you end up feeling inferior or completely lost.

    Self-Development is Keeping You Stuck

    You probably have tried a lot of things to find yourself and your purpose in the world – as so many gurus, teachers and influencers have told you to. Meditation, retreats, journaling, visualization, manifestation, vision boards. In your professional career, there might have been strength-based skill assessments, further trainings, travels and hobbies. Just so many things to reach that next level, to eventually find yourself and become whole (again). To show up with the confidence to be who you are supposed to be. Yes, some of them might be able to help you, to support you, but they are not the main part. They are the addition.

    Life is short - Enjoy it!

    The lessons that I had to repeat over and over again throughout the last 80+ episodes is "Enjoy life" or its favourite cousin "Life is short". This episode gives you a short reminder why this is important - and not self-indulgent.

    Health

    Barbara La Marr, Errol Flynn and John Barrymore are just three examples from the myriads of Old Hollywood stars that tried to cheat nature and abused both alcohol and their bodies. Others like Gloria Swanson and Greta Garbo put an emphasis on their health early on. The outcome? Predictable.

    Old Hollywood is a stellar example of an ever changing environment. From theatre to silent movies to sound movies, to radio, to TV - the actors and actresses that made Old Hollywood great were multi-interested and diversified their incomes and talents.
