The GLP-1 Blueprint: Why Two-Thirds of the Weight Comes Back and How to Keep It Off

Send us Fan Mail If you're on a GLP-1  or thinking about it, or coming off one this is the conversation nobody's having with you. In the semaglutide trial extension, participants lost an average of 17.3% of their body weight. One year after stopping, they'd regained 11.6 percentage points of it. Roughly two-thirds, back within twelve months. Not because the medication doesn't work. It works. It came back because the medication was never the thing keeping it off, and nobody told them what was. This is the full 45-minute training I put together for my clients, broken into three phases: Prepare — the baselines and labs to get before your first dose, so you know what you're actually changing. Protect — protein and resistance training while you're on it. In the body composition data, participants lost about 19% of their fat mass and about 10% of their lean mass. Somewhere between a third and 40% of what came off the scale wasn't fat at all — it was the tissue that keeps your metabolism running. Preserve — the exit plan, which has to start months before your last dose, not after it. I also cover what these medications actually do inside the body, the real risk difference between prescription and grey-market sourcing, how to read side effects instead of pushing through them, and what the "GLP-2 / GLP-3" labeling you see online actually means (it isn't what people think). I'm not here to talk anyone out of a GLP-1. I'm here to make sure the money you're spending buys you something permanent. The shot isn't a solution, it's a window. What you build while it's open is what you keep when it closes. The free toolkit — the full training, the Prepare/Protect/Preserve workbook, my Normal vs. Optimal lab reference guide, and the Protein & Strength Tracker — is at https://www.kakperformance.com/GLP1Training . Or DM me BLUEPRINT on Instagram @Coach_Kak and I'll send it over. You Need A Clear Vision Before You Leap

Send us Fan Mail Quitting a steady job to chase a bigger life sounds inspiring, but the part nobody posts about is the risk calculation. I’m Chris Kakouras, and I’m walking you through the decision framework I use when someone asks, “How did you know it was time to leave?” We talk about the real variables that matter: whether you have kids, a spouse, a mortgage, if you’re the sole provider, and whether your “new thing” is already producing reliable income. I also share my own path from a degree that didn’t pay the bills, to working for a steady paycheck, to building online coaching on the side until it snowballed. The key lesson is simple: being great at your craft is not enough. If you want entrepreneurship or a career change to be sustainable, you need a clear vision, a real plan, and the willingness to learn business fundamentals like marketing and client acquisition. And when COVID hit right after I left, adapting fast with an at-home challenge didn’t just help, it kept the mission alive. Then we zoom out to the bigger theme: sacrifice. The same “educated sacrifice” that applies to leaving a job also applies to weight loss, mindset, and long-term health. If your vision is fuzzy, you stop. If your vision is vivid, you push through. I’ll give you a practical nutrition hack that helped a client lose over 20 pounds without a rigid meal plan, plus a writing exercise to anchor your habits to a future you actually want. If this hits home, subscribe to Unmasking Greatness, share it with a friend who’s on the edge of a big decision, and leave a review so more people can find it. What’s the first educated sacrifice you’re willing to make? More Info On >>>Fitness/Nutrition/Lifestyle Coaching>>Instagram>>TikTok>>YouTube

Top 4 Commonalities I see with 7-8 Figure Earners

Send us Fan Mail High achievers are great at building systems for work, but many never build one for their own body. I’m Chris Kakouras, and I’m sharing the most common patterns I’ve seen while coaching executives and business owners who can handle huge pressure at work yet still struggle with energy, sleep, weight gain, and feeling “off” day after day. If you’ve ever thought, “I’m successful everywhere except my health,” this conversation is for you.  We start with something deeper than tactics: faith. Without me prompting it, many of these high performers point to faith in God as the thing that carried them through the darkest seasons of business and life. We connect that to the real physiology of stress, including how chronic pressure can show up in cortisol, recovery, sleep quality, and hormone health. When you have somewhere to put the weight down, you become a different person, mentally and physically.  Then we hit the “hack trap,” the tendency to chase peptides, supplements, and biohacks while skipping the baseline fundamentals. Those tools can be helpful, but they’re not replacements for protein, resistance training, steps, and sleep. From there, we shift into a practical framework: track your health like you track your business. Build a scoreboard, collect data, and make decisions off numbers, not feelings. We also talk about why “normal” labs aren’t the same as optimal, and why seasons of focus beat the fantasy of perfect balance.  If this helped you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs a reset, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What’s the one metric you’re going to start tracking this week? More Info On >>>Fitness/Nutrition/Lifestyle Coaching>>Instagram>>TikTok>>YouTube

    The Burnout Loop

Send us Fan Mail We share the most frustrating stretch of our lives: high performance on paper while waking up exhausted, living on caffeine, and feeling wired at night. We name the burnout loop, explain why “normal labs” can still mean you are far from optimal, and lay out the markers that help you stop guessing and start fixing the root cause.  TOPICS: • our real-world burnout story from the restaurant grind and no-days-off mindset • the tired-and-wired pattern: morning crashes, brain fog, nighttime buzzing • why more caffeine, harder training, and more supplements stop working • “normal isn’t optimal” and the gap where performance problems hide • the burnout loop: flipped cortisol rhythm and the sleep-stress cycle • why primary care often misses optimization: screening for disease, shifting reference ranges, time and insurance limits • five testing categories to consider: adrenal and stress markers, full thyroid panel, sex hormones, metabolic and inflammatory markers, nutrients and raw materials • why interpretation matters more than the lab report and generic ranges  • why order matters with TRT and other interventions: fix the system before adding tools  I’m actually running a free live training masterclass called Tired Soft and Totally Normal this is on June 24th 6:30 p.m Eastern Standard Time I’m going to put the registration link below again it’s totally free and it’ll be in the show notes Just opt in and show up that’s all you got to do If you are somebody that’s actually listening to this past June 24th 2026 you can actually DM me on Instagram at Coach_Kak webinar DM me webinar and I will send you the full replay. https://www.kakperformance.com/register More Info On >>>Fitness/Nutrition/Lifestyle Coaching>>Instagram>>TikTok>>YouTube

Your Motivation Problem Might Really Be A Belief Problem

Send us Fan Mail You can know exactly what to do and still feel stuck. That’s the part nobody wants to admit, because it sounds like a discipline problem, but it’s usually something deeper: belief. I’m Chris Kakouras, and I’m pulling back the curtain on a packed season of life, what’s changing in my coaching business, and the mindset shift that ties it all together. First, I share a real capacity update. In-person coaching has grown from a small experiment into a schedule-eating monster, so I’m bringing another coach into the in-person side to keep the experience high-touch without burning the whole operation down. I also talk about a specialized certification I’m working through right now, centered on lab analysis, blood work, hormones, digestion, and gut health. If you care about sustainable fat loss, performance, and energy, you’ll hear why data and root-cause thinking matter more than guessing your way through supplements. Then I tell you how an opportunity with Everfit turned into a live webinar with 650 coaches, and how the Q&A unexpectedly shifted from app questions into business mentorship questions: niche, first clients, retention, pricing, and systems. That moment forced a decision I’ve been sitting on for almost two years. We close with two powerful stories that expose how belief shapes endurance and outcomes, and I announce what’s coming next with a new mentorship program for coaches who want a sustainable business and lifestyle. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs it, and leave a review if the message hits. What’s one goal you’d chase harder if you truly believed you could win?
