Director of Flourishing

Really appreciated the backdrop podcast, as I appreciate almost all of yours Tayo! you asked about what our backdrop is/are, and one of them is a truth that God gave me probably in my early 20s. As a child I had to go to boarding school for probably about 3/4 of the year from when I was six years old, so there were some abandonment issues. but in my 20s God reminded me that when I went home and when I just relaxed into my mother‘s lap, for that maybe 20 or 30 minutes when she did sit ( she didn’t fit a lot; she was a very engaged and active woman), she was like a refuge to me. I felt safe; I felt loved; I felt known. it was that sense that whatever happened around me I would be OK. I was given that image where I am being held in God’s lap, and that is my most knowing-I-am-loved place. I’ll have to think more about this to determine other backdrops of my life.
