    Ep 106 The Whispering Bones - Ulrika Igraine

    In this episode, I’m joined by Ulrika Igraine, a singer, songwriter, and storyteller whose work is rooted in lineage, myth, and the deep listening places where songs begin. Carrying both Swedish and Peruvian ancestry, Ulrika creates from the crossroads of their ancestry, mythology, and the supernatural. Their album, The Whispering Bones, is a cauldron of transformation, ghost stories, ritual, imagination, and vulnerability. Through Ulrika’s songs, we explore personal memory, trolls, werewolves, cultural inheritance, and mythic symbolism. My books The Heart of Pixieland Volume I & II are available now! Together, we speak about the creative spark behind the album, the voice as an instrument of storytelling, the role of silence, breath, nature, dreams, and intuition, and the moments of threshold that shape an artist’s path.     Ep 105 Pixieland Dartmeet: Wayside Pixie Magic

    In this episode, I’m joined by Glynnis and Kerri, the passionate owners of Pixieland. The shop and its delightful garden are part of Dartmoor’s heritage. It began as a tearoom in the 1920s and after World War II grew into a cherished destination for faerie lovers from all over the world. We discuss their journey to escape the fast pace of London and some of the diverse visitors who’ve crossed their threshold, including faerie experiencers. Keri talks about the joy he finds in carrying on the tradition of crafting the pixie ornaments. Glynis shares her love of meeting the various visitors to the shop and the enduring magic of faerie belief.At the end of the episode, I have included anextract from my book The Heart of Pixieland: West-Country Faeries &Their Haunts about surprise encounters with pixies by tourists visiting the southwest of England.     Ep 104 Adelphos Adelpho: Close Encounter of the 3rd Kind on Dartmoor

    In this episode I walk and talk with UFO blogger Simon Tucker in Scoriton, on Dartmoor. We discuss the close encounter that a local man called Arthur Bryant had in 1965 in a field above the village. Arthur's testimony about his encounter with a space ship and its occupants was recorded by MUFON investigator Eillen Buckle in her book 'The Scoriton Mystery: Did Adamski Return?'     Andrew Warburton returns to Fairy Whispering for a fascinating chat about the fairy folklore of Northern Appalachia, which he researched for his wonderful new book about the little people of the mountains.     Ep 102 The River Maiden: Part 2

    In part two of The River Maiden, Claire Casely returns to Dartmoor to meet Ian on the summer solstice and walk with him to the bridge where his unforgettable fairy encounter took place. As they move through meadows alive with butterflies, wildflowers, birdsong, and the shimmer of midsummer, the landscape itself becomes part of the story — a place where folklore, memory, and mystery seem to gather close. During their walk, Ian shares more about the sighting he first described in part one: a strangely out-of-time figure near the river, dressed in Victorian-style clothing and somehow both unexpected and entirely at home in the wild. Standing close to the place where it happened, Claire and Ian reflect on bridges as thresholds between worlds, the heightened magic of Summer Solstice, and the possibility that certain places can invite glimpses of something beyond ordinary perception.     Ep 101 The River Maiden part 1

    In this first part of a two-episode journey into Dartmoor’s otherworldly landscape, Claire Casely is joined by Ian to explore a remarkable fairy encounter. Ian recalls a hot summer day whilst crossing an old bridge over a river, when he noticed a young girl, on the riverbank below, dressed in striking, almost old-fashioned black-and-white clothing — immaculate, unexpected, and strangely out of place. The sighting left him questioning whether he had glimpsed a fairy maiden stepping through from an invisible doorway into the present day.
