White People Problems: An O.C. Podcast

i wouldn’t mind (and would probably even enjoy) how critical these guys are of every single episode, if they didn’t also get so many things factually incorrect. they claim to take notes but regularly just completely misremember parts of the episodes they have allegedly just watched. which again, would typically be fine for such a surface level recap podcast if they weren’t so regularly and consistently disparaging of the show and its genre. like, i absolutely get making fun of the show and its many ridiculous plot point and i absolutely get not deep diving or remembering and picking apart every single detail, but something just rubs me the wrong way about them simultaneously not paying attention or fact checking AND just being so critical.

The show is a pretty easy listen but there are so many facts that are incorrect it’s almost not worth it. Apparently the guys haven’t heard of IMDb or google, or they’re protesting it for dumb reasons.

Listen only for the satisfaction of the inevitable moment when Matt, who talks like he is so unamused by The OC, realizes he is, in fact, amused. Give in, Matt. Just. Give. In.
