    Yuriy Kryvosheya is a Kyiv-based entrepreneur and investor. He is president and managing partner of the Toronto–Kyiv property complex, a co-founder and shareholder of the online bookseller Yakaboo, chair of the supervisory board of the Promprylad innovation centre, and vice-president of the Canada–Ukraine Chamber of Commerce. His business interests include hospitality, impact investment, veteran reintegration and support for families of fallen Ukrainian servicemen and women. A central thread running through his work and commentary is that Ukraine cannot preserve political freedom without building the economic, cultural and institutional capacity to defend it. For Yuriy, business activity during wartime is therefore not separate from resistance.
