Reclaiming the Right to Be Seen

EPISODE DESCRIPTION What if reclaiming yourself isn’t about becoming someone new, but about making space for the parts of you that you’ve silenced, neglected, or abandoned along the way? In this final episode of The Reclamation Season, I’m giving you a step-by-step guide to creating your own reclamation season. We’ll look at how to recognize the signs that it’s time to reclaim a part of yourself, understand why you abandoned that part in the first place, listen to what it needs, and create the beliefs, behaviors, and boundaries that allow it to take up space in your life again. I’ll also share how envy, resentment, discomfort, and even feeling successful but unfulfilled can actually be useful data - and how paying attention to those signals can help you understand what you truly want. Most importantly, this work isn’t about shame or declaring war on yourself. It’s about honesty, compassion, accountability, and learning how to stay on your own side. Consider this your roadmap for building a reclamation season that is truly yours. IN THIS EPISODE • How to recognize when it’s time to begin your own reclamation season• Why envy, resentment, discomfort, and unfulfillment can be valuable data• The five-step reclamation process: recognize, understand, listen, create, and practice• How the Three B’s - beliefs, behaviors, and boundaries, help you create lasting change• How to build a daily or weekly check-in practice so you don’t abandon yourself again THE PARTING GIFT "What daily ritual helps you to feel grounded?" Take some time to think about the rituals—not just tasks or items on your to-do list—that bring you back to the present moment and help you feel grounded. What helps you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and remember that you don’t have to rush? THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Giving yourself permission to take up space in your own life. Reclaiming the Brave Part of Me

EPISODE DESCRIPTION What does it really mean to be brave? We often think of bravery as something loud, bold, and courageous or it’s when we are pushing through exhaustion, taking massive risks, or doing something that makes everyone else stand in awe.  But what if bravery could be more subtle than that? In this episode, I’m talking about what it means to reclaim the brave part of yourself. Not the part that overperforms, overfunctions, or pushes through, but the part that is willing to tell the truth about what you really want and begin creating a life that reflects it. I’m sharing the story of the night a friend told me, “You are so brave,” when I felt anything but brave, and how those words eventually helped me understand courage in a completely different way. We’ll talk about the beliefs that keep us from moving forward, why being ready is a choice rather than a feeling, and how changing our beliefs can create new behaviors. Most importantly, I’ll challenge you to practice being just 10% braver this week - one small step at a time. Because sometimes the bravest thing you can do is simply decide that you’re ready enough to begin. IN THIS EPISODE • Redefining bravery beyond survival, overfunctioning, and pushing through• How beliefs about worth and readiness can keep us from pursuing what we truly want• Using the question “Is this 100% true?” to challenge beliefs that may be holding you back• Creating supportive beliefs, behaviors, and boundaries that help you move forward• Practicing being 10% braver by letting the brave part of you take the lead THE PARTING GIFT “What are you learning about yourself in this season of life?” LINKS & RESOURCES Website: allisontibbs.com Instagram: @allisontibbs LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/allisontibbs Substack: https://allisontibbs.substack.com THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Reclaiming the Relaxed Part of Me

EPISODE DESCRIPTION What happens when the part of you that is always planning, producing, performing, managing, and controlling everything finally takes a backseat? In this episode, I’m talking about what I discovered when I gave myself permission to step away from the pressure to perform and let the relaxed version of me take the lead. After spending five days on a farm without my laptop, I realized something I hadn’t fully understood before: relaxation is a state of being and a choice that we make.  We’ll explore what happens when pressure becomes part of our identity, why releasing it can feel scary, and how to begin building trust with the relaxed part of yourself. I’ll also walk you through a simple self-experiment to let your relaxed self take the driver’s seat, listen to your body, follow what feels interesting, and give yourself permission to change your mind. IN THIS EPISODE • Why relaxation is a state of being, not something you have to earn• What happens when pressure becomes an internal system and part of your identity• How removing pressure can help you reconnect with your needs, desires, curiosity, and sense of wonder• A simple “relaxed self” experiment for letting go of managing, controlling, and overperforming• How listening to your body, following what feels interesting, and changing your mind can help build self-trust THE PARTING GIFT “What helps you truly recharge?” Try asking this question from the perspective of your relaxed self, rather than your exhausted or overperforming self. What does the relaxed version of you actually need to feel restored? THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Letting the relaxed part of you make one decision. Let her take the driver's seat for one moment and notice how it feels. Reclaiming The Part of Me That Is Grieving

EPISODE DESCRIPTION What have you lost, survived, or carried that you've never actually given yourself permission to grieve? In this episode of I Buy Myself Flowers, I take an unexpected turn and explore what happens when we finally make space for the part of us that is grieving. Not just grief that comes from losing a person, but the grief that can come with layoffs, relationships ending, dreams changing, identities shifting, and realizing that the future you once imagined may no longer be the future you're moving toward. I share my own recent experience of realizing that, while I had been showing up, working, producing, and moving forward, there was a part of me quietly carrying everything that had been heavy and hard. I also share the three-question Grief Inventory practice that has helped me intentionally create space for that part of myself - to acknowledge what hurt, what sadness may not entirely belong to me, and what I was grieving because I had grown beyond it. This isn't about fixing, solving, or finding closure. It's about being honest with yourself, allowing what hurts to be witnessed, and giving the grieving parts of you permission to be cared for. Because you don't have to keep pushing through. The part of you that is grieving deserves space, too. IN THIS EPISODE • What it means to reclaim the part of yourself that is grieving and why grief can come from much more than losing a person. • How being the strong one, the capable one, or the person everyone relies on can make it difficult to create space for sadness and grief. • My personal experience with grief, including a layoff, the end of a relationship, changing dreams, and grieving versions of myself I could no longer bring into my next chapter. • The three-question Grief Inventory practice for intentionally creating space to acknowledge and process what you've been carrying. • Why allowing yourself to grieve isn't about getting stuck in the past. It's about releasing what you've been carrying so you can move forward with more space and wholeness. THE PARTING GIFT "How do you celebrate your wins?" THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Giving yourself permission to actually grieve something that you've been carrying for a while. Reclaiming the Part of Me That Wants More

EPISODE DESCRIPTION Why is it so much easier to want more for everyone else than it is for yourself? If you've ever talked yourself out of your dreams because they felt selfish, unrealistic, or like they would somehow take away from someone else, this episode is for you. In this episode, we're reclaiming the part of ourselves that wants more. Earlier this season, we explored the question, What do I need? Today, we're taking it one step further with a question that can feel even more uncomfortable: What do I really want? I'm sharing the beliefs that kept me settling in my business, relationships, and even my own vision for my life and the conversation with my accountant that forced me to confront why I didn't believe I deserved more.  We'll unpack the guilt that often surrounds our desires, why wanting more doesn't make you selfish, and how honoring your own dreams can actually make you more present, generous, and fulfilled. Because here's the truth: your life is supposed to benefit you, too. IN THIS EPISODE Why asking "What do I really want?" can feel more difficult than asking "What do I need?" The beliefs that keep us settling and convincing ourselves our desires are selfish or undeserved. My simple One Area. One Desire. One Move. exercise to help you reconnect with what you truly want. The personal story that changed how I run my business and why I stopped undercharging and overgiving. Why reclaiming your desires isn't about becoming selfish - it's about creating a life that is sustainable, joyful, and fully yours. THE PARTING GIFT Nourished Life Coaching Companion Deck Prompt "What task drains your energy the most, and how could you change it?" Sometimes the clearest path toward what you want begins with recognizing what no longer belongs in your life. This question invites you to notice what's draining your energy and consider how you can create more alignment, freedom, and joy. THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Admitting that you want more. Give yourself permission to name your desires without apologizing for them. Simply acknowledging what you truly want is the first step toward reclaiming it. Reclaiming the Needy Part of Me

EPISODE DESCRIPTION What if the part of you you've spent your whole life trying to hide is actually the part that needs your love the most? In this episode, I'm exploring something that many high achievers struggle with: having needs.  For years, I believed that asking for help made me weak, that needing support made me a burden, and that being "the strong one" meant handling everything on my own. That belief led me to minimize my own needs, overextend myself, and quietly teach the people around me not to show up for me. Everything changed after one of the hardest seasons of my life when I had no choice but to let myself be supported. What I discovered wasn't weakness - it was connection, healing, and a completely new understanding of what it means to be human. Together, we'll unpack hyper-independence, why we neglect our own needs, and how to begin rebuilding self-trust through simple daily practices. I'll also share one powerful communication tool that has transformed my relationships and helped me ask for support without shame. If you've spent your life taking care of everyone else, this episode is your invitation to remember that your needs matter, too. IN THIS EPISODE How hyper-independence can become a form of self-neglect A daily practice to reconnect with your own needs and build self-trust Why so many high achievers equate having needs with being weak or burdensome How to make "one clean ask" so others can support you without guessing what you need The life-changing lesson I learned after allowing herself to receive support during one of the hardest seasons of her life THE PARTING GIFT Nourished Life Coaching Companion Deck Prompt "What's one thing you'd like to STOP doing to reclaim your time?" Reflect on what you've been carrying alone. Where could you release, delegate, or ask for support so you can create more space for yourself? THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Pausing once a day to ask yourself, "What do I need right now?" Then honor that answer - even if it's something as simple as drinking water, asking for help, taking a break, or allowing someone else to care for you. Reclaiming The Parts of Me That Needed Rest

EPISODE 2: Reclaiming the Parts of Me That Needed Rest PUBLISH DATE: July 28, 2026 EPISODE DESCRIPTION What if rest wasn't something you had to earn? For so many of us, especially those who have built an identity around being capable, productive, and dependable, rest can feel uncomfortable - even threatening. In this episode, I share my own journey of burnout, the hospitalization that forced me to redefine success, and why the part of me that was always "on" needed permission to finally step back. We'll explore the hidden beliefs that keep us overperforming, the fears that surface when we slow down, and how reclaiming rest creates space for other parts of ourselves to come alive - our creativity, joy, curiosity, softness, and playfulness. I'll also introduce a simple practice you can begin today: creating an "off-duty" block for the part of you that's been carrying too much for too long. Because rest isn't the opposite of ambition - it's what makes a meaningful, sustainable life possible. If you've been feeling exhausted, stretched too thin, or wondering why success doesn't feel the way you thought it would, this conversation is for you. IN THIS EPISODE • The seven types of rest and how to discover what truly helps you recharge • A simple "Off-Duty" practice to help the overperforming part of you finally rest • The hidden fears that make rest feel unsafe - and how those beliefs fuel burnout • Why high achievers often build their identity around productivity instead of well-being • How redefining success creates space for sustainable achievement and a more nourishing life THE PARTING GIFT "What helps you truly recharge?" THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Giving the part of yourself that's always "on" permission to rest - and noticing what other parts of you come alive when you do. Buying Myself Flowers Was Never About the Flowers

For years, buying myself flowers every Sunday was my ritual - a simple reminder that I didn't need anyone else's permission to celebrate myself, care for myself, or choose beauty in my own life. But one painful moment completely changed what that ritual meant. In this first episode of The Reclamation Season, I share the story behind the argument that left me questioning the parts of myself I believed were too messy to be loved. For so long, I convinced myself that my anger made me unworthy, but that day I realized something that transformed not only my self-love ritual but my relationship with myself. Because buying myself flowers was never really about the flowers. It was about learning to extend compassion to the parts of myself I had spent years criticizing, hiding, and trying to fix.  Together, we'll explore where our beliefs about being "too much" come from, why those beliefs deserve to be questioned, and how reclaiming the parts we've rejected can become the deepest form of self-care. IN THIS EPISODE Why true self-care isn't about perfection - it's about staying in a relationship with yourself, even in your messiest moments. The story behind the Trader Joe's parking lot that forever changed the meaning of "buying myself flowers." How limiting beliefs convince us that certain parts of ourselves are unlovable and where those beliefs often begin. A practical exercise to reconnect with the part of yourself you've been criticizing How learning to tend to your inner parts creates greater emotional awareness, healing, and healthier relationships with others. THE PARTING GIFT "How do you talk to yourself when you make a mistake?" Consider not only how you speak to yourself, but how you speak to the part of you that feels like it failed. Is your inner voice kind? Supportive? Compassionate? What would change if you spoke to yourself the way you would speak to someone you deeply love? THIS WEEK, BUY YOURSELF FLOWERS BY... Choosing one part of yourself you've labeled as "too much," "messy," or "unlovable." Write that part a letter reminding it that it is worthy of love, then honor it with a small act of care - whether that's buying yourself flowers or simply giving that part the compassion it's been waiting for.
