    Ep 186: Alignment Part 2

Reflecting on alignment in any area of our lives is a complex practice. First, it requires self-alignment, being grounded in our intuition while exploring ideas in our minds (the ego’s playground). Then, we can reflect on our alignment with the people and objects in the external world. Furthermore, we can reflect on divine alignment, the acknowledgement and acceptance of our current circumstances. At the same time, the more we reflect, the more time and energy we spend in our minds. This can lead us into the ego’s trap because our attention is typically pulled away from our intuitive feelings. So, although we may convince ourselves that we are aligned, we may actually be misaligned. Alignment is an ongoing practice of listening to intuition and heart first and more often than logic. I can feel misalignment before I see it The ego’s mask of alignment The misalignment conundrum Seeing the divine alignment in your circumstances Choosing your North Star from a centered place Deciding on your core values Your upbringing isn’t necessarily aligned with who you really are Noticing micro misalignments Conflict and limitation with a core value ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

    Ep 184: Alignment Part 1

In what ways are you misaligned internally? In what areas of your life do you notice misalignments? Misalignments start internally and project outward to impact all areas of life. What conditioning do you need to break free from? What else in your life needs to shift? The longer your misalignments continue, the more difficult life will appear to become. Get real with yourself and have the necessary conversations sooner rather than later. It takes courage and clarity to create alignment. It’s not about the thing, but how I’m relating to the thing. Alignment and misalignment start within us first A lot of people stay stuck with a bad option How much do you have to like something to generate something great? Creativity to see beyond what you’re seeing is huge Living from your truest self consistently is refreshing The tricky part of alignment and misalignment is the ego Have the conversations sooner rather than later Creating alignment with self-care routines ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

    Ep 183: What's Your Story?

What’s your story? How do you feel when you share it with others? What are the pivotal moments in your life and why? Living purposefully involves deeply embracing your past, being grateful for it, and seeing how it all shapes the current and future versions of you. The way you piece together your story is critical to how it unfolds in the future. And the meaning we give to all of our experiences is our choice. The more we reflect on our lives, the more awareness we have. The more awareness we have, the more choices we can see. Taking a look at your past experiences in a comprehensive way. What happened and what meaning are we putting on what happened? The importance of reflection time to map out your story Our tendency to overlook the story and skip to the end People don’t want to spend time in the uncomfortable pain Living consciously directly affects how your story goes How do we want our story to be? When we let go of the things we can’t control, life becomes more pleasant Key pivotal moments ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

Ep 180: Curiosity Killed The Cat

Fear is a foundational driver of shutting down curiosity. It is natural for our human minds to inquire about the unknown. Why am I feeling this way? Why are they reacting that way? Such basic questions often lead to some form of action, such as asking the person one more deep question. We tend to stop engaging when things get uncomfortable. Others also attempt to stop our engagement because they are uncomfortable. Censorship of speech is a prime example. At what point do you stop acting on your curiosity? Shutting down inspiration Being genuinely engaged and curious about others’ lives It’s always interesting when someone isn’t willing to go into depth Something’s dying when we don’t allow the curiosity to flow Are you ebbing and flowing with the person you’re in conversation with? How often are we being curious with ourself? Is your curiosity coming from genuine inspiration or fear? What are we projecting onto the situation? Why is it worth it to stay curious in the moment? ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi
