Wilderness is a mindset. Promise land is a mindset. Egypt is bondage. Wilderness is transition. Promise land is God's promise. Wilderness is not the destination, it's deliverance. Wilderness & promise land are two different types of warfare. It's not God's rejection, it's God's renewal. What type of warfare are in each season? Egypt warfare = past traumas Wilderness warfare = you Promise land warfare = the enemy Depending on what season you may be enduring & discerning the type of season can be in direct correlation to the warfare you're facing. What if you're not under attack, but under a thought? The devil don't have you, your mind has you. What if it's not always the devil but your bad decisions. 17 Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt. (Exodus 13:17-18)  11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” 13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” 15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. (Exodus 14:11-15) 1 Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord; for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp. 2 Then the people cried out to Moses, and when Moses prayed to the Lord, the fire was quenched. 3 So he called the name of the place Taberah, because the fire of the Lord had burned among them. 4 Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who will give us meat to eat? 5 We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; 6 but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!” (Numbers 11:1-5) Things need to die in wilderness... Fear Anxiety Impatience Our love for control Triggers that came from trauma The flesh What is an Egypt mindset? 1. Bondage to the past 2. Appetite for toxic atmospheres 3. Married to trauma 4. Language of the flesh How to break free? 1. Deliverance that leads to discipleship 2. Meditation & application of the word of God 3. Powerful prayer life (pray in the spirit) 4. Community that hosts the presence of God It took them one day to get out of Egypt but it took 40 years for Egypt to get out of them. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
