I absolutely adore every show. I relate to so much of what you reference and I love how you are not afraid to tackle such hard subjects. Your honesty and down to earth approach helps me to feel like you are a safe space - no judgement, no apologies- and you are helping so many to acknowledge that yes we can make changes. No we don’t need to follow in our family footsteps. It’s ok to set boundaries with people - yes even familia. I have dyslexia and ADHD - a topic that is very under represented in our community but statistically there are so many of us (many that may not have been diagnosed for one reason or another). I’d love to hear more about this and I’m even willing to share my experiences and my journey (just turned 45 years young so feel like I have a little experience now:) keep on doin you and keeping it real. I’m here for it all!

At 30 years old I am just now uncovering the generational trauma in my family and as the eldest of 6 siblings, I have felt so much guilt. Learning about parentification has opened my eyes to understanding myself, but your episode 5 put in a real perspective as a Mexican American because people don’t understand how normalized this is! Thank you thank you thank you!

I appreciate this podcast so much and the value it brings. As the someone who grew up as the eldest daughter of immigrant Latino parents/family, I feel heard and this has been helping me to better understand the toxic areas of my family life and how to better deal with it in a constructive and healthy way. Keep it up, girl!
