    In this Episode, You can learn… 7 ways to say “Thank you” in Japanese! 1「感謝いたします」「感謝します」 この言葉は主に書き言葉として使われます。誰かに何かをしてもらった時、何かをいただいた時などにお礼の手紙を出す時に使うといいでしょう。 This term is used primarily as a written word. You can use it to send a thank-you letter when someone does something for you or gives you something. ２「ありがたいです」 「ありがたい」は深刻な問題やめったにないこと、また悩みから自分を救ってくれたことなどに心から感謝するときに使います。 This word is used to express sincere gratitude for a serious or infrequent problem, or for having saved you from trouble. 3「ありがとうございます」「ありがとうございました」 「ありがとうございます」はもっともポピュラーな感謝の言葉です。他の人が自分にしてくれた恩に対して感謝する気持ちを伝えたい時などによく使われます。 「ありがとうございました。」は特に過去に何かしてもらった時のことに言及して感謝の言葉を言う時に使います。 「ありがとうございます」 is the most popular expression of gratitude. It is often used to express gratitude for a favor someone else has done for you. 「ありがとうございました」is used to express gratitude, especially when referring to something that was done for you in the past. ４「すみません」 この言葉は謝る時だけの言葉ではありません。 この「すみません」は私のために時間や労力、お金や気持ちを使ってくれたことに対して申し訳ないという気持ちと同時に感謝の気持ちをも含んでいる言葉です。 This word is not just for apologizing. It is not used with older people or in business situations. However, it may be used to thank a client with whom you have known for years. 6「あざーす」 これは「どうも」よりも、かなりカジュアルな言葉です。 主に若い男の人の間で使われている印象を受けます。 ものすごく仲のいい友だち同士や先輩に対してであれば何の問題もありません。 This is a much more casual term than 「どうも」.
