    The boys are back at it, and this week things take a turn toward England, music, and prescription drugs...because apparently those three things belong together. New listener: London, England!  Joe dives into celebrities who have found major success in American media--but were actually born in England.  Some of these might surprise you!   Stump Drew: Can Drew identify the artists from the songs Joe throws at him?  Spoiler alert: it's a 50-50 situation.  Somebody knows there music...and somebody definitely doesn't. Prescription Drugs: What the hell is up with all the side effects listed on prescription medications?  When the warning sounds worse than the condition you're taking the drug for, you have to wonder...why would anyone take the chance?!     Episode 135: Shop Vac, Baby Oil, and Bad Decisions!

    Welcome back to another episode of The Singly Married Podcast, where somehow these three things--a shop vac, baby oil, and bad decision--can all exist in the same episode.  We're not saying they're connected...but we're also not saying they aren't! This week, the boys welcome a brand-new city to the Singly Married family: Hong Kong!  And while welcoming our newest listeners, we also learn about a park that apparently has a very distinct smell.  Because nothing says international podcasting like unsolicited information about odors. Joe & Drew then dive into the wonderful world of scammers, focusing on two individuals who have apparently taken their scams as far as they could possibly go--and have now made their final scam.  You'll have to listen to find out how that worked out for them. Joe also gives us his brief--and possibly completely unnecessary-take on what Santa Claus is really all about.  And, of course, because this is Singly Married, absolutely none of this stays on track for very long.  Shop vacs.  Baby oil.  Scammmers.  Santa.     Episode 134: 1st, 2nd, 33rds

    Singly Married is back...and apparently, we've decided to make you think! Don't worry--we're still random.  We're still funny.  We're still two guys who probably shouldn't be trusted with a microphone.  But this week, we're getting a little more cerebral. First, we're welcoming Warsaw, Poland to the Singly Married family!  As Joe's Polish friends would say: Witamy w podcascie Singly Married!  Then Joe asks the important question: when is too much actually too much? A simple question...that naturally turns into a conversation about limits, excess, and probably several things that didn't need to be analyzed this deeply. Drew brings a question of his own: should we pay high school students to learn?  Does putting a dollar amount on academic achievement actually motivate students--or does learning become less about learning and more about getting paid?     Episode 133: The Wheels on the Train Track Go Round and Round

    Joe & Drew are back, and this birthday train is officially leaving the station!  Joe celebrates another trip around the sun by sharing some birthday stories that have it all: cake, cards, miscommunication, train whistles, complete strangers, and what may or may not have been an indecent proposal.  You know...average birthday stuff. Then Drew brings us another collection of stories from "They Live Among Us", featuring coin flips, diet soda, mysterious stomach masses, plastic cubes, and pregnancy tests.  Because apparently, the internet continues to provide us with evidence that people are, in fact, living among us. Drew shares his complete disapproval of Cincinnati, Ohio's confusing roadway system, while Joe talks about a recent trip where he thought he was going to see a majestic bald eagle.  Well...he definitely saw a "bald eagle".  Wink, Wink From there, the conversation takes another classic Singly Married turn as the guys vent about commercials.  Drew admits his strange appreciation for pharmaceutical ads, and Joe learns far more than he ever expected about one of America's most popular potato brands.
