In this episode, we sit down with Victor Mwanga, Founder and CEO of EarthLungs, one of Africa's most ambitious reforestation organisations, operating across Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique (with a few other new additions!). A logistician by training and environmentalist at heart, Victor's story begins not in a boardroom but on a piece of degraded land in rural Kenya, and a bamboo experiment that changed everything. We get into the model behind the numbers, how they turn illegal loggers and charcoal burners into forest custodians, and why they've deliberately stayed outside the carbon credit market. We also talk community and what it really means to restore a landscape when the people living on it have no alternative but to destroy it.
