Every episode we'll feature a Taylor Swift song, we each pair it with a cocktail inspired by that song, and then we breakdown every musical mixology moment.     Episode 150 - Better Than Revenge

    It’s our 150th episode, and we’d like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has been listening and supporting us all these years. We just love getting to do this and the fun definitely keeps going in this episode. We begin by discussing Rachel’s recent visit to see Sam in San Diego. Fish tacos, sunsets, and cocktails were enjoyed, all whilst listening and discussing Taylor Swift together. Rachel shares her recent experience listening to an Alanis Morissette cover band and how Alanis is recognized as “The Taylor Swift of her generation!” This conversation had us discussing the power of songs and artists that feature scream-singing, Taylor naturally being a part of that. We get a little sporty when discussing the possibility of Travis playing another season in the NFL and what that might look like for Taylor this fall. Our new shit brought Harry Styles back into the chat, and a first ever artist named Sam! Guess which sib chose which one to bring up. Better Than Revenge is undeniable Taylor Swift’s most rock and roll song, which Rachel and Sam both agreed is thanks in part to the era and the music Taylor was listening to circa 2010. The lyric change in this song was a big source of conversation for the sibs!     Episode 148 - Vigilante Shit

    On the weekends, we don't podcast for friends, we podcast for revenge.....or something like that! To kick things off, we share some upcoming changes coming to our podcast. Thank you Swiggies for always supporting us no matter what!!! Then, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to congratulate Taylor on being innaugurated into the Songwriters Hall of Fame! We shared our thoughts on the songs selected and which songs we would have swapped out if we were here. We'd love to hear your guys' opinions on that too! Vigilante Shit is an interesting song to break down. Parts of it feels like Taylor slipping into her fictional story telling, while other parts of it feel pointed and directed at a specific person.     Episode 147 - the lakes, w/ Special Guest Chelsea Dexter!

    We were joined this week by a loyal listener and a true Swiftie from day one: Chelsea Dexter! Chelsea shares with us her Swiftie back story and all the Taylor Swift concerts she's attended (Fearless AND Reputation AND Eras Tour? JEALOUS!!). She even gets to boast that she won Taylor Swift Trivia at her local pub! Needelss to say, Chelsea brings so much to our conversation this week about a song that she absolutely loves. The Lake District and the poets it inspired is the perfect setting for the closing track off the folklore album. Oh but wait, it's not technically the closing track, is it? We certainly have some thoughts about that. One thing that really got us about this song was whether or not Taylor is feeling sad and melancholic, or if she was actually extending a romantic gesture towards one London Boy. Chelsea's takes on the "name dropping sleaze" Taylor sings about is particularly curious, especially when taking in consideration Taylor's performance of this song during the Long Pond Studio Sessions.     This song is so good! And it's a perfect transition from last week's "A Place in this World" episode.     Episode 145 - A Place in this World

    We’re back with season 4!!! And the episode starts with probably the longest chitty chat ever. There was loads to talk about with our obsession over the Stranger Things finale and all our “predicky-dicks” for Taylor Swift’s 2026. Maybe she’ll release a single? Perhaps be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame? Is the wedding imminent?! Reputation Vault Tracks? Our eyes and ears are always tuned in but we can’t help but feel at ease during a quiet time in the Swiftie world such as this. The song this week showcases the most baby Taylor and the innocence she felt at the young age of 13 when she wrote this song. Rachel is partaking in Dry January, and Sam didn’t feel comfortable making an alcoholic drink for this adolescent song. So mocktails it is! But why did Taylor choose this song to perform on her very last night of the Eras Tour? Tune in to find out!

    Episode 144 - The End of an Era Docuseries

    Tears and cheers for The End of An Era, Taylor Swift's 6-episode docuseries! It's Christmas and the three year anniversary of this podcast, and as is tradition, we find themselves in the exact place where it all started: the back bedroom of their parents' Wisconsin home on December 23rd. We've watched all six episodes of the new docuseries, and we are here to end Season 3 of this podcast with our thoughts on the entire series. We loved it and are totally satisfied. Though some questions remain unanswered, new answers were provided from questions we didn't even know we had!     Episode 143 - Wi$h Li$t

    Rachel's Xmas Sweatshirt and our Spotify Wrapped lead off this episode. We are so excited to be able to share with you how our podcast has grown this year, and which artists we were streaming the most! Hint: Rachel got a puppy this year. :) When it comes time to breaking down the 8th track (and Sam's favorite!) off The Life of a Showgirl, we can't seem to agree on whether or not Taylor is critiquing others in this song or not. But one thing we can agree on is that Taylor wants to be left the f**k alone.
