The BIG Debate: Is Business Actually Hard… Or Do We Make It Hard? with Danielle Hobson

In this episode of the Girls in Property Podcast, I sit down with Danielle Hobson and we have a proper healthy debate around business. I share my view that business can feel hard at times, especially when you are in the thick of running it day to day. Danielle brings a different perspective, that business itself is not actually the hard bit, but that we as humans can sometimes make it feel that way. We talk openly about the realities of entrepreneurship, the pressure, the growth, the lessons, and also the importance of community, self trust, and celebrating your wins along the way. We also touch on energetics, mindset, and how much self awareness plays a part in the results we create in business. It is one of those conversations where you might find yourself nodding along to one side, then the other. And that is exactly the point. There is space for both. If you have ever questioned whether business is meant to feel hard, or wondered if there is another way to experience it, this one will really get you thinking. As always, take what feels right for you, and trust your own path x  How to Get Involved With The Girls in Property 👇 👩 Join our GIP Community 🎟️ You're Invitation to our Girls in Property Retreat Fri 24 April 2026 💗 Subscribe to Find our Latest Offers & Events Near You A Big Thank You to Our Sponsored Partners Lisa Marie Elkhadraoui from @design_boss_diary Ella Hardy from @landprofits (Click here to book a 45 min FREE discovery call) Rachel Knight from Title Split Limited - Access 25-35% Capital Uplift Get In Touch 📷Girls in Property Instagram 📧 girlsinpropertypod@gmail.com

This week, I am joined by Carly Anderson, also known as Flipping Belfast, and her story is such a powerful reminder that you do not need to have it all figured out before you begin. We talk honestly about the challenges she faced, how she pushed through them, and how she has gone on to complete flip after flip across Belfast. We also get into the real side of property. Celebrating your wins, building a team you can rely on, understanding the role investors play, and learning how to move through the property market with confidence. What Happens When Things Go Wrong & Who You Become Next with Natasha Clarke

In this episode of the Girls in Property podcast, I sit down with subconscious coach and mentor Natasha Clarke for an honest and powerful conversation about our belief system and understanding who you are before you jump into any strategy. We talk about what happens when things feel sticky in business or property, when a strategy is not working, or when you feel like you are doing all the right things but something still feels off. Natasha shares the difference between wobbling and pivoting, and why changing the story you tell yourself when things go wrong can shift everything. Natasha opens up about her own journey, including a really tough year where her family faced serious health challenges and how that affected her identity and self worth. We talk about how easy it is to tie your value to money or results, and why the inner work matters just as much as the strategy. This episode is for you if you are starting out in property or already in a strategy that feels heavy or confusing. We talk about building a life you actually love, designing life on your terms, and defining what success really means to you. Natasha also shares simple tools for handling stress and emotions, including her ACI method Awareness, Clearance and Identity, which helps you understand what is really driving your choices beneath the surface. This is a conversation about property, but more than that, it is about you, your life and creating success in a way that feels good. The Abattoir Everyone Said No To with Alex Fidoe

In this episode of the Girls in Property podcast, I am joined by Alex Fidoe for one of those conversations that really makes you stop and think about what is possible when you refuse to give up. Alex shares her journey from working in a corporate role to becoming a self taught property developer, and we dive deep into one of her boldest projects yet converting an old abattoir into something completely new. This is not a glossy overnight success story. We talk honestly about the planning battles, the knock backs, the moments where it would have been easier to walk away, and the sheer belief Alex had to hold onto when others said no. This episode is a powerful reminder that property is not just about houses. It is about vision, resilience, and being willing to look outside the box. If you have ever thought about commercial property, scaling up, or taking on something that feels a bit scary but exciting at the same time, this conversation will really land. We also talk about the importance of community, surrounding yourself with the right people, and why backing yourself matters more than having all the answers from the start. Alex’s story is proof that you do not need permission to dream bigger, and that sometimes the most unexpected spaces can turn into the most incredible opportunities. This episode is for you if you are ready to challenge what you think property looks like and start believing that you can do things your own way too. Stepping into 2026 with Athena & Yolanda Dobson

To kick off the very first Girls in Property podcast episode of 2026, I am welcoming back someone I know so many of you absolutely love. My mum, Yolanda Dobson. She is very much a firm favourite in this community, so it felt only right to start the new year with her.  This episode is all about keeping it real. As we step into a brand-new year and welcome in the year of the horse, this felt like the perfect time to pause, reflect and gently look ahead at what might be possible. Not in an overwhelming way, but in a grounded and honest one. Me and mum chat about setting intentions for 2026, celebrating the small wins, and finding calm when life feels busy. We talk about curiosity, positivity, family, and staying connected to yourself while juggling work and home life. You will hear the real dynamic between us. The laughter, the honesty, and the values that sit at the heart of Girls in Property. We also explore what success really means, the role joy plays in our lives, and why genuine connection always matters. What 2025 Taught Me: 5 Lessons From a Big Year with Athena Dobson

Right… this is it. The final episode of the Girls in Property Podcast for 2025. I honestly cannot believe I am writing that. We have recorded over 45 episodes this year and this one feels really special. It felt right to end the year doing what I always do best on this podcast… being open, honest, a little emotional, and sharing what I have really learnt along the way. In this final episode of 2025, I bare my soul and reflect on the year that has been. The highs, the challenges, the growth, the tears, the laughter, and everything that came with building Girls in Property alongside my own personal journey. As always, I cry. I laugh. And I share as honestly as I can, because that is what this space has always been about. Adding value, sharing the real stuff, and hopefully helping you feel a little less alone on your own journey. I talk you through the 5 biggest lessons that 2025 taught me. These are not just business or property lessons. They are life lessons. Lessons around rest, alignment, trusting yourself more deeply, letting go of old layers, and remembering why you started in the first place. I also take time to celebrate what Girls in Property has become. The podcast, the community, the conversations, and most importantly the women who show up week after week. You are the reason this space matters and the reason I keep showing up, even on the hard days. If you have had a tough year, if you have felt a bit lost, or if 2025 has quietly stretched and changed you in ways you are only just starting to see, I really hope this episode helps you feel more seen, more heard, and full of hope for what is coming. This episode is a love letter to 2025, and an open invitation to step into 2026 with belief in yourself and what is possible for you. Thank you for being part of Girls in Property. Thank you for listening, sharing, and growing alongside me. I love you all.
