Episode #41- My fertility and egg retrieval journey PART ONE

Hey friends and welcome to episode #41. In this weeks episode I share my fertility journey and experience with my first egg retrieval. (Part 2 coming). I have always wanted a family of my own and just figured that it would happen "when the time was right". After moving home from Indonesia in 2020 at the age of 32 and parting ways with my long term partner, I decided to find out where I was in relation to my fertility health. When my AMH results came back as 'low' I realised I was going to need to make a decision. It is a simple fact that as women age we have less eggs and the quality starts to drop, which could make falling pregnant more difficult. I made the choice to move forward with an egg retrieval so that I could freeze my eggs as a bit of "peace of mind" after debating the topic in my head for months. Do I spend the money? Do I put my body through that? What if I don't need them? WHAT IF I DO?! I talk through how I got to this point, withdrawing money from my superannuation account to pay for it, the different hormones and what the injection process was like and allllll of the feels that came after the retrieval itself. This is a raw and emotional share. I am and will eternally be grateful to every single person who reached out to me as I documented this on my instagram account. To every person who checked i, who offered tips, who shared their own experiences; there will never be enough words to say how thankful I am for making this solo process a little less lonely. Thank you for taking the time to listen, I am SO glad that you are here with me today! Find ME on instagram at either @hightidelowtideau or @a_girl_and_the_ocean Please note that in these episodes we will discuss mental health and all that it entails. Episode #40- Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) with Rebekah King

Hey friends and welcome to episode #40. In this weeks episode I chat with the infectious Rebekah King. Rebekah is more than just an anxiety and mind shift coach; She is the anxiety coach and co-creator of Moonbeam Monday Five years ago, she could barely get out of bed. Her stomach was in constant knots; she felt sick at the thought of going to work, and felt fearful at the mere thought of her future. After being introduced to Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) she learned how to retrain her brain from destructive thoughts and erase her old obsessive-compulsive negative thought patterns. Having studied NLP myself, I can vouch for how powerful these methods are and how quickly they can help turn your life around. The energy in this episode is beautiful, I got very energised and re-inspired and had an ah-ha moment in realising how much NLP had had a positive effect on my life over the last few years. You can work with Rebekah in many different ways and can find more information on Instagram at @moonbeammonday or https://www.moonbeammonday.com.au/ Thank you for taking the time to listen, I am SO glad that you are here with me today! Episode #34- Small towns and workplace incidents with Bel

Hey friends and welcome to episode #34. In this weeks episode you will meet the wonderful Bel Ryan. Bel is an art therapist, sees people 1 on 1, runs well-being workshops and is a guest speaker. In her episode Bel talks through her childhood and what it was like dealing with her dads cancer diagnosis in a small, rural town to how she was treated and subsequently felt different at boarding school. Very interesting to hear her reflections on seeing her first psychologist and the many different modalities she has used and still uses now to help manage her mental health. Please note we discuss a critical incident in her workplace in this episode so an extra trigger warning in here for those who need it. There is so, so much to take out of this discussion.
