This week's sermon made 10 points  which were --Apocalyptic literature has a purpose possibly foreign to us;  Apocalyptic literature can be both strikingly simple and terribly troublesome ; Horror of human evil can be especially seen in human government; God has and will derive glory from the flow of history; The reader should have hermeneutical humility as we seek understanding; Readers have risen to faithful heights and fall into terrible errors; We see but the iceberg tip of reality around us; The people of God are meant to be joyful as they await deliverance; The Bible is meant to be read as a whole; Jesus Christ is the key of and to history .     The United States of America is a special nation. This year and this week our nation celebrated its 250th anniversary. This morning we reflected upon Psalm 76 in part because of a sermon delivered by one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence a couple months before the formal signing of the Declaration in 1776. Today, we looked at Psalm 76. This week's sermon made 2 points  which were --Christ has won the victory and Christians are called to live in light of Christ's victory.
