92| Breaking the Silence: Supporting Women Through Menopause

Welcome back to Dropped In! In honour of Menopause Awareness Month, I had the pleasure of speaking with Krista Hansen, a passionate advocate for women's health, particularly during the transformative phase of menopause. Krista, hailing from the Vancouver area of British Columbia, dedicates her work to helping women navigate the often challenging transition through menopause with greater ease, comfort, and vitality. We began our conversation by discussing the significance of this topic, which is increasingly gaining attention but still remains under-discussed. Krista shared her personal journey into this field, revealing how her own unexpected experiences with menopause ignited her passion to support other women. She candidly described the physical and emotional challenges she faced, including severe pain, anxiety, and sleep disturbances, which ultimately led her to seek alternative solutions and education in holistic wellness. Throughout the episode, Krista emphasized the uniqueness of each woman's experience with menopause and perimenopause, highlighting that symptoms can vary widely. We explored the physiological, mental, and spiritual changes that accompany this transition, and Krista provided valuable insights into how women can better understand and manage their symptoms. One key takeaway from our discussion was the importance of self-compassion and empowerment during this time. Krista encouraged women to embrace this stage of life as an opportunity for growth and transformation rather than a period of decline. We also touched on practical strategies for managing anxiety and other symptoms, including lifestyle changes, nutrition, and alternative therapies like acupuncture and Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT). As we delved deeper, Krista outlined her 10-week program, "Transition with Ease," which is designed to guide women through the various aspects of menopause, from nutrition to emotional well-being. She emphasized the significance of addressing both acute symptoms and long-term health considerations, such as cardiovascular health and cognitive function. In closing, Krista offered a message of hope, reminding listeners that menopause is not an end but rather a new beginning. She encouraged women to reflect on their desires and aspirations, as this phase of life can lead to profound personal growth and fulfillment. This episode is a must-listen for anyone seeking to understand menopause better, whether for themselves or to support the women in their lives. Krista's wealth of knowledge and compassionate approach make this conversation both informative and inspiring. 91| The Call to Bloom: Making Bold Moves Towards Your Vision and Purpose

Welcome back to Dropped In!! I am stoked to share a microdose of magic and medicine with you, focusing on the theme of playing small in our lives. I reflect on my personal journey over the past few months, during which I experienced a power pause—a time for deep integration and implementation of the healing work I’ve been doing. This period has allowed me to recognize how my future self has been calling me to step into a more empowered version of myself and how I’ve often resisted that call. I discuss the painful realization that it can be more uncomfortable to remain in a state of safety and smallness than to fully bloom into our potential. I share my own struggles with self-protection, aka self-sabotage, recounting moments from my past, including a particularly challenging experience with public speaking that led me to drop out of public speaking at university. This fear of being seen and heard has been a recurring theme in my life, rooted in my upbringing and the belief that my voice didn’t matter. However, through a transformative session of Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), I was able to clear these limiting beliefs and step into a more empowered space. As I navigate this new chapter, I emphasize the importance of making bold moves to align with the version of myself that I aspire to be. I share my recent investment in a two-month journey to develop my skills as a keynote speaker, acknowledging the fear and discomfort that come with such a leap. As I reflect on my aspirations—hosting retreats, leading masterminds, and sharing my message with the world—I invite listeners to consider their own calls to action. I emphasize that the only moment we truly have is the present, and I encourage everyone to take steps toward their dreams, no matter how daunting they may seem. In this episode, I also introduce my program, InnovateHer, designed for change-makers who are ready to step into their power and lead with integrity. I outline the key components of the program, including learning to create safe, trauma-informed spaces for clients, blending masculine and feminine energies, and developing the skills necessary to be an embodied leader in transformational work. I conclude by inviting listeners to embrace their fears as signposts guiding them toward their true potential. I express my unwavering belief in their abilities and my commitment to supporting them on their journey. If you feel the call to join forces with your future self, I warmly welcome you to explore what InnovateHer has to offer. Together, we can move beyond the confines of playing small and step into a life of purpose and impact. https://meghan-weir.com/innovate-her-2/
