    Mapping The Journey

Have you ever been so confident that you knew where you were going that you refused to admit you were lost? Sometimes we approach our spiritual lives the same way. We make our own plans, trust our instincts, and wonder why we keep finding ourselves in the same difficult situations. As we begin our new series, The Expedition, Pastor Tony Stephens challenges us to examine who's really directing our lives. In Proverbs 3:5–6, we discover that an intentional Christian life begins with wholehearted trust in God, complete surrender to His authority, and confidence in His direction—even when we cannot see what lies ahead.

    The Church: Shepherded Together

What does it actually look like for a local church to follow the New Testament pattern of leadership? In The Church: Shepherded Together, we continue our study of elders, deacons, and biblical church leadership by looking at the repeated New Testament pattern of a plurality of qualified elders shepherding God’s people together. This isn’t about giving a few men more power. In fact, biblical eldership helps ensure that no one man carries too much responsibility or authority. Jesus alone is the Chief Shepherd.

    The Church: Led and Served

How did Jesus intend His church to be led? Depending on your church background, words like pastor, elder, overseer, and deacon may mean very different things. But before we ask how churches have traditionally structured themselves, we need to ask a more important question: What does Scripture actually say? In this message, The Church: Led and Served, we examine the New Testament pattern for leadership and service in the local church.

    The Church On Mission

What happens when the church walks out the doors on Sunday? We are sent. In the next message of The Church: Defined, we look at Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20 and discover that mission isn’t simply one program of the church. Jesus has entrusted His church with the gospel and commanded us to make disciples. In this message: • Our Mission Comes From the Authority of Jesus • Our Message Is the Gospel • The Mission Happens Where God Has Placed Us You don’t need to have every answer before you can tell someone about Jesus. The power isn’t in our presentation. The power is in the gospel. God has placed people around each of us who need Christ—family members, coworkers, classmates, neighbors, friends, and people we encounter in the ordinary rhythms of life. We cannot save them, but we can pray, love, listen, and faithfully tell them the good news of Jesus. The building stays here. The church leaves. And when we leave, we aren’t simply dismissed. We are sent. 📖 Main Scripture: Matthew 28:18–20 (CSB)

The Church As A Place Of Grace

What happens when guilty people receive something they could never earn? Grace. In Week 3 of The Church: Defined, we discover that grace isn't simply a doctrine Christians believe—it's the foundation of the community Christ is building. Ephesians 2:8–9 reminds us that none of us earned our salvation. We are saved by grace through faith as the gift of God. That truth should humble us, change the way we treat other people, and transform the way we live. In this message: • Grace Is How We Got Here • Grace Changes How We Treat People • Grace Doesn't Leave Us Where It Found Us A church of grace isn't a church where sin doesn't matter. It's a church where sinners discover that Jesus is willing to forgive them—and powerful enough to change them. We don't pursue holiness so that God will give us grace. We pursue holiness because God already has.

    A Community Of Love

What should people see when they look at the church? In John 13:34–35, Jesus gives His followers a defining characteristic: love. But He doesn't simply tell us to love one another. He gives us the standard: “Just as I have loved you.” In Week 2 of The Church: Defined, Pastor Tony Stephens explores what it means for the church to become a community shaped by the love of Jesus. In this message: • Love Has a Standard—Jesus • Love Refuses to Let Division Win • Love Makes Jesus Visible Christian love is more than being friendly. It serves when serving costs something. It forgives when we've actually been hurt. It chooses unity over pride, pursues holiness and truth, and puts the needs of others ahead of our own. And Jesus says that when His people love this way, the world notices. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” —John 13:35, CSB The question isn't simply whether we say we love Jesus. Can people see Jesus in the way we love one another? 📖 Main Scripture: John 13:34–35 (CSB) Join us for Week 2 of The Church: Defined as we discover what Scripture says Christ intends His church to be. #TheChurchDefined #John13 #LoveOneAnother #Church #BodyOfChrist #ChristianLiving #Jesus

    More Than A Building

What does it really mean to be the church? For many of us, the word “church” immediately brings to mind a building, a Sunday morning service, or a place we go each week. But in Romans 12:4–5, Paul gives us a much bigger picture. The church isn't a building we attend. The church is the body of Christ—and every believer has a place in that body. In Week 1 of our series “The Church: Defined,” Pastor Tony Stephens explores what it means to live as the church God intended us to be. In this message: • We Are One Body • We Belong to One Another • The Church Goes Wherever We Go We weren't saved simply to sit in a service. We were brought into a body where we serve one another, carry one another's burdens, pursue Christ together, and represent Jesus wherever God has placed us. The building stays here. The church leaves. And when we walk out the doors, the church isn't ending—the church is being sent. 📖 Main Scripture: Romans 12:4–5 (CSB) If this message encourages you, share it with someone and join us as we continue The Church: Defined and discover from Scripture what Christ intends His church to be. #TheChurchDefined #Romans12 #BodyOfChrist #Church #ChristianLiving #Sermon #Jesus

    Checkmate

What happens after the villain is defeated? For many stories, that's where the credits roll. But in the Book of Esther, Haman's death wasn't the end of the story. His evil decree still threatened God's people, and they still needed deliverance. In the final message of our Queen's Gambit series, we discover that God not only defeats His enemies—He faithfully completes His purposes. Through Esther 8–10, we see God's people delivered, their mourning turned to joy, and a lasting reminder established so future generations would never forget God's faithfulness. Esther never mentions God's name, yet His fingerprints are on every page. This remarkable story reminds us that even when we can't see God's hand, we can always trust His heart.
