    Ep 192 Energy healer, cancer survivor, and co-founder of Ascension Healings Jenn Martin shares her wisdom with us.

    Jenn Martin is a Reiki Master trained in both Holy Fire and Usui Reiki, and co-founder and owner of Ascension Healings alongside her husband Joe (episode #182). Jenn's path into healing and spirituality was forged through profound personal experiences, including multiple Near-Death Experiences (NDEs). She has faced and overcome serious health challenges, including a battle with cancer and a life-altering bout with COVID that brought her close to death once again. These experiences cracked her open spiritually, deepened her connection to the divine, and ignited her passion for helping others navigate their own healing and awakening journeys. After receiving her Reiki attunement in 2021, Jenn's life transformed rapidly. What began as personal healing work quickly evolved into a shared mission with Joe after Archangel Ariah began channeling messages through him, leading to the co-creation of The Ascension Guide book series. Today, Jenn supports clients through Reiki healing sessions, energy work, intuitive guidance, and helping people release blocks, raise their vibration, and step into their soul's purpose during this time of planetary ascension. Warm, compassionate, and deeply intuitive, Jenn brings a grounded, heart-centered presence to her work. She is passionate about empowering others to trust their own inner guidance and remember their divine nature.

    Ep 191: Bhante Pema the Chief Monk of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Monastic Order in the United States speaks about his Buddhist journey

    Bhante Permaratana, also known as the Venerable Dr. Soorakkulame Pemarantana, leads the Pittsburgh Buddhist Center (PBC) in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. He was recently honored as the Chief Monk of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Monastic Order in the United States. As a child in Sri Lanka, he wanted to emulate his uncle who was a monk and decided at age 10 that he would become a monk, against his parents wishes. Lucky for him, his grandparents supported his decision and he completed his monastic training at age 20. He learned English in Ireland, where he received a master's degree in philosophy and eventually came to Pittsburgh in 2008 to enter the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Pittsburgh to study the history of religion.

    British actor, author, healer and yoga instructor Liam Browne discusses his journey from dealer to healer.

    Liam Browne is a British actor, a Healer, Podcaster, Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, and author from Manchester. He is the author of three books, DEALER TO HEALER: A Modern Tale of A F*cked Up Male, HITCHHIKING: Feel the Good Vibrations, and AYAHUASCA: Healing Your Soul. He is well known for his epic Cacao Ceremonies. All his work is aimed at propelling people towards Self-Realization and Enlightenment via the Yogic path. Liam works with the Christ Consciousness energy; he focuses on empowering people to step into their own truth, to show the world the person they have always really been. He uses endearing language, poetry, spoken word, comedy, and descriptive prose to make ancient teachings and ideas open your being to new ways of experiencing. Liam is also the co-founder of events company STONE COLD SOBER whose mantra is "Do no harm, take no sh*t". They host Retreats, Yoga Raves, Ecstatic Dance's and love to mix the esoteric and holistic with electronic music and dance. The energy Liam creates at his events is electrifying. He provides a safe space for you to feel the confidence to 'let go and glow'. At his Yoga Rave's banging dance tunes, fresh and funky flow, leave people on another planet feeling fully alive, inspired, filled with love. They are on the pulse of what is needed in the world right now. I had the pleasure of asking Liam about how Yoga and Poetry are similar, how writing has been a therapy for him, and what makes life a work of art.

    Sustainability author and advocate, Mayor Patricia DeMarco returns for a third visit to update us on her journey

    Patricia M. DeMarco is the Mayor of the Borough of Forest Hills, PA. (2026-2030). She is a Pittsburgh author with a doctorate in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. She has had a fifty-year career in energy and environmental policy in both private and public sector positions. She writes and lectures in the fields of sustainability, energy and environmental policy, and natural history. She learned her craft in public policy from Connecticut Governor Ella T. Grasso, for whom she served as policy advisor to the National Governors Association Low Level Nuclear Waste Compact negotiations. and liaison to the Connecticut Energy Advisory Board. She served as Executive Director of the Connecticut Power Facilities Evaluation Council (siting power and telecommunication facilities). She worked in the utility industry as Demand Side Manager for the Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative; she served as a Commissioner of the Regulated Utilities Commission of Alaska. She returned to Pittsburgh in 2006, and served as Executive Director of the Rachel Carson Homestead Association then as Director of the Rachel Carson Institute at Chatham University, where she now holds an appointment as Senior Scholar and Adjunct Faculty. She sits as Chair of the Board of Trustees for Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and as a Board Member for the Black Appalachian Coalition and for the Mon-Metro Chamber of Commerce. And, she is a past president of the Rotary Club of Forest Hills. Author of "In The Footsteps of Rachel Carson" and "Pathways to Our Sustainable Future," Patricia DeMarco discusses her latest work on making her community and the planet a healthier place to live. Patty's spiritual journey from Catholicism to Pantheism was discussed at length in episode #3 and is summarized here as well. Much of what she has spearheaded in local communities is replicable in the U.S. and elsewhere, and she has brought it to the world stage at international conferences.

    Ep 187: Curtis Childs explains Swedenborgian theology and its relevance for us.

    Curtis Childs experienced an internal battle with depression while at Oakland University that led him to question God and his lifelong interest in Swedenborgian theology. After a period of intense suffering, he recovered from his depression with the help of modern medicine, therapy, and a return to the spiritually uplifting messages he found in Emmanuel Swedenborg's writings. Now, Curtis is applying his education and desire to help others find peace through Swedenborg's insights by producing and hosting this weekly webcast, "Off the Left Eye." He's happiest when he can use Swedenborg's concepts to help someone solve something they used to think was unsolvable.     Dr. Elisa Haransky-Beck has been practicing functional, behavioral, developmental optometry specializing in Vision and Movement Therapy since she graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1987. She is a Fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, F.C.O.V.D., (now Optometrists in Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association, OVDRA), and a Member of the American Optometric Association, A.O.A. and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, P.O.A. She holds an M.A. in Spiritual Nutrition-Vegan and Live Food Nutrition from the University of Integrated Science of California. She has certificates in Expanding Culinary Joy: Mastering Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine and The Conscious Eating Program from the Dr. Cousens' Tree of Life Center US Vegan Live Food Trainings in 2015. She also attended the incredible Life Transformation program at the Hippocrates Health Institute in 2012. Today she discusses her 2024 book, "Enlivening Consciousness: Deepening Your Journey through Vision, Movement, Nutrition, Nature, and Spirit."
