hey, i'm elise! i'm an 18-year-old girl just figuring things out and learning from my experiences. i love to share my perspective and engage in conversations about mental health and self-improvement, but let's be honest... there's a huge lack of teens sharing what they've learned from their honest, not-so-perfect experiences. the plot dives into what it's like to be a teen who feels and thinks deeply in a world where we often feel misunderstood and stuck on our own. i hope i make you think and challenge yourself with my episodes!

    Learning to Choose Yourself

Today I wanted to take my own experiences and share what I've learned about what it means to choose yourself. If you're questioning someone in a relationship or friendship, struggling to trust them, having weird gut feelings, hearing things about them or refusing to hear them, or pushing away feeling of hurt, confusion, anger, etc., this episode is for you. I share why, as uncomfortable as it may be, paying close attention to this can lead you in the direction best for you, and how ignoring these things ultimately is prioritizing a life besides your own. I hope you enjoy and this helps you to take better care of yourself! Also I’ve been having mic issues so apologies about any audio changes! - Elise

    Learning New Beginnings

You may have heard the phrase, "in my ___ era," where people fill in the blank with something that has defined a phase of life for them like "my chef era" or "my revenge era." When in recent months I experienced an end of one era/phase in my life, I worked hard to help myself rephrase the end to become a new beginning and see it as an opportunity for some exciting changes in myself. Today I shared 4 tips for coping with an end or change based off of my own experience making change into a positive thing. Listen closely and enjoy!

    Learning to Ignore

Ever seen someone giving you looks, whispering, or even laughing? In this episode I share the thought process that can help you to ignore and stop caring about petty things like this. As teenagers we all go through our own sorts of drama, but at the end of the day, when we pay attention to its importance we realize that simply ignoring the small things and seeing them for what they really are is the best way to go.

    Learning Self-Confidence with Finleigh

Today I welcomed my first guest and friend Finleigh! Finleigh is someone I've talked to numerous times about growing confidence and I felt her views should be shared. She talks with us about self-confidence tactics, a few quotes that have stuck with her, the impact of social media, and being alone with yourself!

    Learning Our Values

Teenagers often spend so much energy on comparing themselves to others, but I've learned that by knowing and sticking to your values, people and experiences that don't align with your values become unimportant. In this episode I discuss values: what are they? Why are they important? How can you use them to navigate life? And how they'll set you FREE!
