Taa Haa Al Fashni

Taa Haa Al Fashni, also spelled Tāhā al‑Fashnī or Taa Haa Al‑Fashni, was a celebrated Egyptian Quran reciter and muezzin known for his murattal-style recitation in the Hafs ‘an ‘Asim riwāyah. His recorded surahs—including longer chapters like Al‑Ibrāhīm, Al‑Ahqāf, Az‑Zumar, and more—are preserved in respected digital Qur’anic libraries and broadcast archives. Known as a mubtahil (one who recites in rivalry), he was admired for his mastery of maqāmāt (melodic modes), drawing inspiration from reciters like Mustafa Ismail. His recitations are distinguished by a warm, versatile tone, rhythmic control, and devotional expressiveness—attributes that made his delivery beloved in both ritual prayer and public recitation settings.
