    Culture, Complementarian, and Estrangement Are Trying to Define You - Here's Who Already Did

    Three voices are fighting to name you right now. Culture say you're undefined - a blank slate with no fixed identity. Complementarianism, particularly within the Southern Baptist Convention, says you're narrowly defined; restricted to roles that shrink what God actually called you to. And estrangement - when your own child stops calling, stops answering, walks away - whispers  the cruelest definition of all: You are not wanted. Your are not a mother. You are what they left behind. None of them get the final word. In this episode of Hart to Heart, I walk through the women the church rarely talks about - Deborah, who led Israel as prophet and judge with full authority over men and women. The Proverbs 31 woman, who was far more than a domestic ideal - a businesswoman, a leader, a teacher. Mary Magdalene, Priscilla, Phoebe - women of God trusted with His work when human systems wouldn't have. The we look at what happened when those human systems replaced biblical truth; how 1 Timothy 2 got stripped of its context, how the "narcissist" label got weaponized against parents, and why telling women they cannot use their God-given gifts doesn't just limit them - it limits the Great Commission and the  Kingdom of God.     Feeling Better is Not Healing

    If your adult child has cut you off, you may have moments when you feel better. You get through the day You stay busy. You stop crying for a little while. But feeling better is not always the same as being healed. In this Family Restoration episode, I unpack the difference between temporary relief and true healing after family estrangement. This message is for estranged moms (or dads), targeted parents, and Christian women who are ready t to stop defining themselves by rejection, silence, or the need to prove their children wrong. True healing is identify-level. It is not numbing out the pain. It is not winning the argument in your mind. It is not waiting beside the same emotional pool forever. True healing is when God rewrites the loop in your mind and anchors you in who He says you are.     Can Women Be Pastors Part 2

    Today, we are going to continue overturning tables as we answer some of the questions from our last episode, "Can Women Be Pastors Part 1". The majority of the responses I received were very positive, with only a few questions. I decided to add another show, so I could provide more detailed responses.  I was asked by one viewer to "please explain inerrancy" and another one asked about the meaning of "creation order". I thought I would begin by letting Jesus answer the first question found in the entirety of Matthew 23. Then we will transition to 1 Timothy 2 to where we will look at how selective literalism is problematic. It is impossible to confidently discern which portions of Paul's words were intended to be taken literally and which were meant to be understood symbolically within the same passage. Such selective literalism results in subjective and inconsistent conclusions, relying more on personal opinion than on objective facts.  It cannot be both literal and non-literal at the same time. Please join me as we dispel the creation order myth and learn what Paul said about it in 1 Corinthians.     Can Women Be Pastors Part 1

    Today, we are going to Overturn Tables as we tackle one of the most controversial topics in the Evangelical Church, "Can Women Be Pastors?" This one question drives chaos and divisions within the church. This question challenges the Pastoral Letters. The premise is women are eternally remanded by the Apostle to remain silent and submissive. As the Apostle Paul stated, "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, she must remain silent."     Discovering Marriage Truths in Apostle Paul's Ephesians

    Today we are continuing our series on the Apostle Paul and his letters on marriage found in the Book of Ephesians. We will be breaking down scripture to fully understand Paul's words on submission and the husband-and-wife roles. We are also going to look at the current feminist movement and the false beliefs that is impacting women's mental and spiritual health. We will learn what spiritual force is driving this movement and how to fight against it. As we have learned in our Women's Series, God empowers women. It has been human laws, not God, that have limited women's abilities. God recognizes our potential found in Proverbs 31. Women can be bold and confident; she can earn money and invest her wages to grow financially. A godly woman who serves the Lord, is given responsibility to use her influence to make lives better for those around her. Everyone benefits including herself. It is equally important for godly women to praise and support other women, to help build up their lives. Godly women are to be celebrated. Not silenced nor oppressed.
