They may feel like they need to constantly defend themselves or explain their situation, which can be exhausting and stressful. Fear of harassment: Social media platforms can be a breeding ground for trolls and cyberbullies. Women who have gone through a divorce may worry about being harassed or targeted online. This can lead to feelings of anxiety, fear, and vulnerability. Fear of oversharing: While social media can be a great way to connect with others and share your experiences, divorced women may worry about oversharing or revealing too much personal information online. They may be concerned about how their posts will be perceived by their ex-partner, their children, or other family members. Fear of missing out: Divorce can be a lonely and isolating experience, and social media can exacerbate feelings of FOMO (or “fear of missing out”).
