my personal oscars campaign for "bottoms"

welcome to my podcast! i do it when i feel like it and today, i feel like talking about a movie i’ve watched 6 times - bottoms, directed and co-written by emma seligman. look, i’m not a cinephile. but what i am is a girl with a microphone and a f*ck ass podcast. and what i WANT is this movie to walk away with one of those sexy little golden statues named oscar.  syllabus why wouldn’t bottoms get an oscar? (wait, will it?) (no.) (but WHY NOT?!) welcome to riverdale world, dollface  breaking down what archie andrews goes through in riverdale from a physical standpoint: bear attack, forced to fight to the death in juvie, high school football, boxing match against head mob boss to save the town. girls can do anything boys can do… question mark? the plot   playing with time and space  adults being completely powerless against the larger forces of evil (classic)  emma selgiman and rachel sennot could write killers of the flower moon if: they had a lot of historical background background, took their time, drank tea. as always, please feel empowered to listen at x1.5 speed. xoxo

i don't think you should go to law school

ok here’s the agenda:  i made a tiktok there are 2 types of people who SHOULD go to law school and if you don’t fit into those two types..... law school is not good if it is a vague next step for u note to self: buy highlighters and post-it notes for bar studying jobs can be stressful but they actually don’t have to crush ur spirit imagine u just continued doing what u were doing (figuring it out) and u just… didn’t go to law school to do that the law girls are bad at math, i’ll say that academia, business, entrepreneurship, REAL ESTATE… the list goes on  the first day of law school a girl i thought could potentially be my lifelong friend looked me in the eyes in class and said with her full legal chest that a cake maker should never have to make a gay cake

school is done but i am still studying???

SUNDAY MORNING POD! Well! Literally What Is Up? What an incredible question….. apologies for kind of a wild cliffhanger. Some updates: I did not shave my head. School is hard. School is also done (for now). In the mood for a career. Ruminating on menus and the law from my bathtub.

why i almost shaved my head britney style

it all comes back to this crazy little thing called trichotillomania, baby! and this episode is just as crazy. i reflect... i ramble... i rave about balaclavas... there’s a time jump on account of v*lnerability... my girlfriend, bianca, comes home halfway through (notably without mcdonalds) and helps me out... annnnd, in the end, i get a haircut! mental health is very complex and weird and it was nice to let myself talk about a particularly hard moment in it. thank u for listening :)

    astrology 101 (semester II)

second semester is for the summer and winter babies! on the syllabus we have the major archetypes - green flags AND red flags - for cancer, leo, virgo, libra, scorpio and sagittarius! if you or someone you want to kiss has major placements in these signs, you are going to want to turn your ears ON and click play.  again, i'm not an astrologist or even a witchy girl. i can't read the circle chart or tell you about the moon cycles (YET!). i’m just a queer girl who likes to analyze my friends and lovers, and collect data from my real life experiences and then talk about it for two undisrupted hours…… soooooo aquarius mercury of me, i know …... (if you listen, you’ll understand that too!).  if you enjoy astrology 101, i'd love to know what you think or if you see yourself in anything i've described! :)

    astrology 101

it took twice as long but for twice as much! this is a two parter on what is arguably my favourite thing in the world to talk about: astrology! right off the top, i compare astrology to math, organic chemistry and physics, while also confusing it with the natural science and study of astronomy. after a quick lay of the land (aka. the big old sky and planets) as i understand it, we get right into the juicy stuff - the signs. in this first episode, i'm breaking down my three positive and three negative stereotypes for capricorn, aquarius, pisces, aries, taurus, and gemini. i’m not an astrologist or even a self-identifying witch. i’m just a queer girl who likes to analyze my friends and lovers, and collect data from my real life experiences…… suuuuuch a virgo moon, i know..…( if you listen, you’ll understand that). this is mandatory reading for this podcast, babes. get into it!

    the queer ex effect

in our first episode together, we're jumping right to the good stuff! if you've kept up with me on tiktok for long enough, you'll know i've been in different relationships over the years. you might've seen my ex and i make some videos together.... maybe you've seen my girlfriend and i make some videos with my ex  too.... some people think it's funny, some people think it's confusing, and others think it's toxic. within the queer community, and especially for queer women, the dynamics between ex lovers are known for being unusual. whether you've turned an ex to a bestie, or like to keep 'em blocked and deleted, we're getting into it - here's my take.
