LAFC Fans React to 2-0 Win vs RB New York: Disappointment or Progress? Or Both?

At nearly 1:00 AM on the East Coast, Travis joins Vince and Darren break down LAFC’s 2-0 win over the New York Red Bulls, a crucial result albeit a frustraing performance due to poor finishing that could have made it 4-0 or 5-0 by halftime. Jude Terry’s composed strike and Sieb’s banger are bright spots amid missed chances from Bouanga and Son, whose first touch and fatigue are major concerns. We discuss how LAFC tactically exploited Red Bulls’ high line, the TIGHT TABLE in the Western Conference with nine games left, and the return of Igor Jesus after an ACL injury. We also look ahead to Kansas City and debate coaching, roster shuffling, and who’s stepping up beyond the usual scorers. 00:00 Late Night Kickoff 00:34 Match Takeaways 02:32 Bet It Chaos 03:24 Tactics vs Red Bulls 04:30 Finishing Frustrations 06:27 Tight Table Bit 10:42 Pump The Brakes 13:41 Chance Creation Boss 22:29 Igor Returns 25:57 Jeff On Martinez 30:16 Is Son Washed 31:39 Coach Blame Debate 33:54 Low Block Problem 34:34 Do Coaches Matter 37:07 Fire Him Or Not 42:27 Dentist Debate Detour 43:58 Son Double Standard 44:58 Caller Happy Feet 47:26 DP Rules And Selling Son 50:50 Super Chats And Sponsors 53:40 Red Bull Naming Weirdness 56:56 Caller Carl Match Recap 01:02:58 Set Pieces And Merch 01:04:52 Wrap Up And Next Match Join our Patreon and help us keep making this show. LAFC Blow Two Leads in RSL 2-2 Draw (Again) | UNFILTERED Reactions from LAFC Fans

Darren hosts solo with Vince and Travis out, reacting to LAFC’s 2-2 draw at Real Salt Lake that felt like another loss after LAFC led twice and couldn’t hold it. There WERE positives, like strong Hugo Lloris saves, a new look with Shaffelburg behind Bouanga, and Bouanga and Son each posting a goal and an assist on two textbook transition goals, but defensive breakdowns, poor clearances, fatigue, and reliance on isolated individual moments rather than cohesive, creative team play all came back to bite them in the ass (again). New blood is here though, we'll see who can do what and what the homestretch brings. 00:00 Postgame Reality Check 02:17 Bright Spots and Lineup Notes 05:47 Happy Foot Goals Breakdown 07:38 Defensive Lapses and Fatigue 11:35 Air Horn Rant and Poll 12:26 Reading Chats and Superchats 18:12 Season Outlook and New Signings 20:58 Caller Diego Joins In 22:34 Defense Holds Up 23:10 Newton Tactics Bit 23:40 Red Bulls Outlook 24:07 New Signings Waiting 24:59 Creativity Missing 26:09 Tafari And Turnovers 26:51 Tyler Boyd Miss 29:06 Flashes Of Potential 30:31 Coach Or Players 31:48 Finding A Solution 33:59 Late Season Run 40:22 Closing Thoughts Join our Patreon and help us keep making this show. LAFC v Portland: Many Chances, One Bouanga Blast. Baby Steps Forward, or Not Enough?

Travis and Vince record a chaotic postgame from their cars at BMO Stadium because the usual studio space is taken during an LAFC Unified broadcast, with Darren producing from a common area. They break down LAFC’s 1-1 draw/loss vibe against Portland: an early concession, a much-improved attacking approach with massive chance creation (including 21 first-half shots and nearly 30 total), but persistent finishing issues, highlighted by reliance on another outside-the-box strike—an incredible Denis Bouanga solo BLAST™. They discuss Tim Tillman’s non-contact injury, mounting roster thinness (Martinez, Palencia, Igor Jesus, Palencia), limited bench options, and the urgency of the closing transfer window. 00:00 Finishing Frustrations 00:31 Remote Pod Chaos 01:56 Chance Creation vs Goals 04:46 Tillman Injury Worries 08:17 Roster Depth Alarm 10:38 Happy Foot Highlights 12:31 Why Chances Failed 13:41 Defense and Transition Risk 17:33 Darren Joins In 18:45 Super Chats Segment 22:29 Roster Chaos Context 23:44 Thin Squad Reality 24:25 Travis Car Chaos 25:24 Jeff Tock Metrics 28:09 Coach Debate Fallout 29:38 Luke Defends Form 32:53 Scoring Drought Breakdown 36:50 Wrap Up And Next Week Join our Patreon and help us keep making this show. LAFC Drop Another 1-0: Rotation Fails in Colorado, Depth Concerns Grow

Travis, Vince, and Darren react to LAFC’s second 1-0 loss in seven days after a deeply frustrating match in Colorado that featured another individual mistake leading to the deciding goal. We discuss a rotated lineup without Bouanga and Son, the lack of chance creation and urgency, and how the “depth” pieces failed to seize their opportunity, with harsh criticism of Ebobisse and mixed feelings on Shaffelburg and Boyd. We highlight positives like Cabral Carter saving a penalty after Ebobisse's own goal, strong defending from Ryan Porteous and Aaron Long, and energetic late moments from Mihalić and Cheberko. We discuss Roster Rules' Law (all MLS conversations must eventually turn to the roster constraints), and mint Ross' Law (maybe we've failed to build a team and style around Bouanga that can work, and the only solution is to part ways with Bouanga to try something entirely different!????) LAFC Double Match Preview: Colorado Away + Portland at BMO (Plus LAFC Unified Team Interview)

Travis and Darren preview LAFC’s two MLS matches this week—at Colorado on Wednesday, Aug. 19 (6:30 PM) and vs Portland at BMO on Saturday, Aug. 22 (7:30 PM), both on Apple TV—while addressing fan anxiety after a 1–0 loss to San Diego, a petition to fire Marc Dos Santos, and concerns about roster construction and DP limitations tied to GAM. They discuss recent signings and injuries, then hear from Vince (sidelined with a back injury) on rotation, altitude, and the need to score early in transition against Colorado, plus the must-win home mindset vs Portland. The episode features an interview with LAFC’s Special Olympics Unified Team coach Michael McKnight and players Ashley Marin and Kevin Demetrio ahead of their Saturday match vs Portland after the first team! 00:00 Secret Game Plan Cold Open 00:28 Show Intro and Match Preview 01:16 Special Olympics Unified Hype 02:55 Where Is Vince 04:16 Sponsor Break Amirian Law 05:48 Storylines Segment Setup 07:45 Is the Sky Falling 10:00 Why the Vibes Are Low 17:00 What If Thorrington Is Done 20:07 Roster Debate and Risk Taking 23:07 Leg Injuries and Accountability 26:10 Judging the GM This Season 28:56 More Signings Coming 29:49 Selling Veterans on LAFC 30:52 Roster Depth Reality Check 31:25 Colorado and Portland Preview 32:17 Vince Rotation and Keys 35:04 Unified Team Spotlight 35:45 What Is Unified Soccer 39:14 Season Stories and Nashville 41:48 Balancing Life and Soccer 44:02 How to Watch and Support 47:06 Better Forget It Bets 49:48 Wrap Up and Goodbye Join our Patreon and help us keep making this show.
