The House Medium

I can’t get enough of this podcast. Adela presents us with the mysteries we’re all interested in and uses her gift to give us actual real answers based on what she sees. It’s amazing and it’s what I’ve been looking for for a long time. Thank you, Adela for bringing us this beautiful podcast.

As someone who suffers from a chronic illness the Jan 7 episode was a great start to the new year. So many great lessons and reminders wrapped in a fantastic story. Thank you!

I love Adela’s straightforward style and direct approach. I have learned so much about the other side from her podcasts and look forward to them each week. I had a reading from her and know she is the real deal- things she told me were confirmed by me in the moment and by others soon after our meeting. And I love her Gen X viewpoint 😉

This is kind of a two for one review of this podcast & of Adela’s readings since they both impacted me in a very profound way. I heard about Adela Lavine & her podcast, “The House Medium” on the “Woo Woo” podcast with Rachel Dratch on June 25 2025. From then on I binge listened to two years worth of episodes within the span of 2 1/2 months. I think it was only a few days later & many episodes in that I saw my Maltese Poodle crossed little guy, Deuce of 16 1/2 years sitting in the bedroom doorway looking up at me. His appearance changed to be part physically there & part shadow, & I knew he was going to die soon. It was as if I was looking at him continuing to watch me from behind the shadow of the veil. It’s not like we didn’t have many close calls at the time from heart med side effects, & I had peaked at him staring at the wall many times before in the bedroom, somehow knowing that he was contemplating his end, but I had thought that perhaps I had listened to too many stories from the podcast & was just imagining my worst fears. On August 3 2025 Deuce died in my arms as I danced with him one last time, singing to him the loudest & clearest that I had since blowing out my vocal cords the year before. “The House Medium” podcast came to me when I needed it most. It primed me for opening up to continued existence after death. Without it I’d be stuck in that moment or further in the past, unable to move forward. I was spiritually open again, & started seeing things, from the tiniest light orb in front of Deuce’s body on my bed just 4 hours after he died out of the corner of my eye as I left to make food in the kitchen to moments later after moving him to his own bed seeing a shadow in his form in the corner of my eye checking on me with his same mannerisms at the bedroom door before returning into the darkness of the room. I even saw a shimmering predator cloaked Deuce coming to the bedroom one or two nights later with the same movement he had when he was a pup. There were too many wonderful things to show me that he was there including impressions of him pressing up against a veil that I somewhat could see. Even with all of these experiences I struggled to accept that this was all real. Then I had a medium reading for Deuce with Adela & heard his voice through her. Turns out he was more perceptive about my life’s struggles than I had realized & had really good advice for me, real life changing stuff including encouraging me to work with animals because I have a telepathic gift. He didn’t mention it in the reading but now I wonder if that image of him watching me as a shadowy spirit in the beginning of my story was him telepathically telling me that he had decided to die because he did say in the reading that he chose to die which, in retrospect, aligns with what appeared to be a conscious decision from him to stop eating. He was old & didn’t want to live in a body that wasn’t functioning well anymore. Anyways, later I had to pull back temporarily from the spirit realm because things got a little too intense for me. Then I later reengaged in a way that I could handle & with different aspects of spirituality. Also, working with dogs seemed impossible because the nearest animal shelter seemed to have impossibly high standards just to even volunteer, but after a month since applying, I was contacted by the animal shelter & have been volunteering there for a month now, & have had magical experiences taking care of & developing relationships with these very traumatized, poor souls which has been a very transformative & spiritual experience for me. This podcast might not transform anyone’s life like it has mine, but I wanted to share how it has at least made a world of difference for me & thank Adela for what she does, both the podcast & her readings. P.S. For the more casual listener, the podcast is wildly entertaining & informative too. 🤪
