    Hearth, heart, home: storytelling for hope, landscapes of love and abundance in inter-being with Vidya Porselvi

    Dr P. Mary Vidya Porselvi is Associate professor and Head of the Department of English at Loyola College, Chennai. Her primary research during her studies was on the topic โ€˜Mother Earth Discourse as Conscientizacao: An Ecofeminist Approach to Folktales from Indiaโ€™ , she here identified an innovative folktale typology which connects women with environment. She is author to the books โ€˜Nature, Culture and Gender: Rereading the Folktaleโ€™ (2016), โ€˜Bhoomi Talesโ€™ (2014) , โ€˜Natureโ€™s Voices, Womenโ€™s Voicesโ€™ (2015) and โ€˜Environmental Humanities in Folktales: Theory and Practiceโ€™ (2023). She likes to read and write poetry with nature at its center.
