The Way, the Truth & the Life | Blake Bradley | The Roads Church

“He is the only way to life. To know Him is to know truth. To know Him is to know the way to the Father.” In The Way, the Truth & the Life, Blake Bradley brings us back to the words of Jesus in John 14:6 and the truth that there is only one way to the Father: Jesus Christ. Jesus is not one path among many. Salvation is found in Him alone, through His sacrifice and His blood. But knowing Jesus as the Way also means knowing Him as the Truth. In a culture filled with competing voices, opinions, feelings, and ideas, Blake challenges us to measure what we believe against the Word of God rather than allowing culture to define truth for us. Jesus calls us not only to hear His words, but to do them. When we hear and obey Him, we build our lives on the Rock. When we mix His truth with ideas that contradict His Word, we create an unstable foundation. The question is not simply whether we know what Scripture says, but whether we are willing to surrender our own thoughts, preferences, and ways to the truth of Jesus. Ultimately, Jesus is also the Life. The things of this world cannot give us the life we were created to have. True life, eternal life, and resurrection life are found in Him alone. As you listen, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any lies, mixture, or areas of your life that have not been fully surrendered to the truth of Jesus. He is the Way. He is the Truth. He is the Life. Take the Land | Spiritual Authority - Sons & Daughters | Chad Everett

What has God already given you that you haven’t yet possessed? In Spiritual Authority: Sons & Daughters | Take the Land, Pastor Chad Everett continues teaching what it means to live as a mature son or daughter of God. Through faith in Christ, we are sons and daughters, heirs of God, and heirs according to the promise. But there is a difference between having an inheritance promised and actually possessing it. Looking at God’s covenant with Abraham, Chad highlights two important parts of the promise: lineage and land. Our lineage speaks to our identity. We need to know who we are, whose family we belong to, and what belongs to us as heirs through Christ. Our land represents the territory God has called us to possess. Throughout Scripture, Jesus restored people to their true identity. Zacchaeus was called a son of Abraham when others called him a sinner. The woman who had been bound for 18 years was called a daughter of Abraham and set free. Their circumstances did not determine their identity. Their covenant did. As sons and daughters of God, we cannot allow disappointment, opposition, fear, bondage, or past circumstances to cause us to retreat. God has not called us simply to survive until we get to heaven. He has called us to move forward, advance His Kingdom, and possess what He has given us. Opposition does not necessarily mean you are going the wrong direction. When God opens a great and effective door, there may also be adversaries. The call is to keep advancing. “Possess the land. Take the land. Move forward. Advance.” If you’ve stopped moving forward because of disappointment, discouragement, struggle, or opposition, this message is a call to remember who you are, believe God’s Word over what you see, get back up, and keep coming. From Under to Over | Spiritual Authority: Sons & Daughters | Chad Everett

There are areas of our lives where we can belong to God, yet still live under things Jesus has already given us freedom and authority over. In this message, Pastor Chad Everett continues in Galatians 4:1–7, showing the difference between living as an immature heir and living from our identity as sons and daughters of God. Through Jesus, we have been redeemed from bondage, adopted into God’s family, and made heirs through Christ. We were under the elements of the world, controlled by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, and our own carnal nature. But Jesus came to redeem us and bring us out of bondage. The fullness of time has already come. Jesus has already paid the price. Our freedom is not something we have to wait for someday. We are called to receive what Jesus has already accomplished and begin living from our position as sons and daughters right now. That means choosing faith over feelings. It means allowing God to mature us through discipleship, accountability, correction, and surrender. It means recognizing the areas where we are still yielding to our flesh and bringing them under the authority of Jesus. Because we are sons and daughters, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father.” Our identity is not determined by how we feel in a moment. We have a Father, we belong to Him, and we have been invited to receive the inheritance Jesus paid for with His own blood. And ultimately, our inheritance is not merely something we receive from God. Our inheritance is Him. “Where we’re under, we got to come over.” Ask the Holy Spirit: Where am I still living like a slave when Jesus has called me to live as a son or daughter? It’s time to grow, receive what Jesus has already provided, and move from under to over. The Roads Church - https://theroads.church

Grow Up & Live Differently | Spiritual Authority - Sons & Daughters | Chad Everett

What does it look like when our lives actually reflect who we are as sons and daughters of God? In Spiritual Authority: Sons & Daughters | Grow Up & Live Differently, Pastor Chad Everett challenges believers to examine the areas of our lives that may still be controlled by our flesh instead of led by the Spirit. Galatians 4 tells us that an heir, while still a child, may live no differently than a slave, even though the inheritance already belongs to him. In the same way, we can belong to Jesus and still live in bondage to attitudes, behaviors, emotions, and patterns that do not reflect who we have become in Christ. “Sons and daughters are not supposed to act like slaves. We’re supposed to act differently. We’re supposed to think differently. We’re supposed to talk differently. We’re supposed to believe differently. We’re supposed to control ourselves differently.” Through Galatians 4 and 1 Corinthians 3, Chad confronts spiritual immaturity and challenges us to recognize carnality in our own lives. Envy, strife, division, offense, uncontrolled anger, gossip, and other areas where our flesh remains in control can keep us living beneath the freedom Jesus purchased for us. This is not a message of condemnation. It is an invitation to grow up, come out of bondage, and live in the freedom and inheritance Jesus has made available to us. “Our spiritual maturity will determine our spiritual experience.” God has called us to be sons and daughters whose lives are led by the Spirit. It is time to grow up, leave slavery behind, and live differently. The Roads Church - https://theroadschurch

Live Like an Heir | Spiritual Authority: Sons & Daughters | Chad Everett

Can you be an heir and still live like a slave? In Live Like an Heir, from the sermon series: Spiritual Authority: Sons & Daughters, Pastor Chad Everett continues through Galatians 4 and challenges us to recognize where we may be living beneath what God has already made available through Christ. Through faith in Jesus, we are born into the family of God as sons and daughters, and if we are sons and daughters, we are heirs. But Galatians 4 shows us that an heir who remains immature can live no differently from a slave, even though the inheritance already belongs to them. Spiritual maturity is not determined by age or how many years we have followed Jesus. As we grow in God’s Word and put His truth into practice, we grow in our understanding of what is already ours in Christ. Jesus’ story of the two sons in Luke 15 reveals two ways we can miss this. Failure can convince us that we no longer deserve to live as sons and daughters, while faithful service can become striving to earn from God what He has already made available. Both can leave an heir thinking and living like a slave. The Father is calling His sons and daughters to know Him, grow in spiritual maturity, receive what He has provided through Jesus, and live like an heir. “Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” --Galatians 4:7 NKJV The Roads Church - https://theroads.church

Stay Strong! Endure! | Justin Younger | The Roads Church

What do you do when following Jesus gets hard? In Stay Strong: Endure, you’ll be challenged to look at what happens when resistance, hardship, persecution, and spiritual opposition come against your faith. Jesus never promised that following Him would mean avoiding difficulty. He called His followers to remain faithful, stand firm, and endure. Mark 4 warns about seed that falls on stony ground. The Word is received with joy, but when trouble comes, there is no deep root to sustain it. That same warning still matters today. It is possible to hear the Word, agree with it, and even be encouraged by it without allowing it to take root deeply enough to shape how you respond when life becomes difficult. This message will challenge you to examine the condition of your heart and ask whether your faith is prepared to endure. You’ll see why resistance does not always mean you are doing something wrong. Following Jesus puts you in opposition to the ways of the enemy, and spiritual battles are part of the life of a disciple. Scripture calls believers to endure hardship as good soldiers of Jesus Christ, resist the devil, and refuse to abandon their confession of faith. You’ll also be challenged to count the cost of following Jesus. Salvation is a free gift, but discipleship calls you to carry your cross, surrender your life, and keep following when obedience costs you something. If you are facing pressure, disappointment, betrayal, fear, hardship, or a season where you feel like giving up, this message is an encouragement to keep going. Your strength does not come from your ability to fight alone. Jesus is with you, the Holy Spirit strengthens you, and you can remain faithful through the battle. “Stay strong. Don’t back down. Hold fast to your confession of faith. Believe God.” - Justin Younger Don’t let resistance uproot what God has planted in you. Draw near to Him. Stand your ground. Keep believing. Keep following. Stay strong and endure. The Roads Church - https://theroads.church
