    What do I do when I have a concern?

    Send us a text Many times, we are challenged by what to do or say when something gives rise to a concern. We don't want people to think we are accusing them of doing something wrong or being a predator. However, we need to speak up because there is that concern that is to be addressed to ensure a safe environment. This episode talks about ways we can take the action to raise the concern, deal with our own conversations that often thwart our efforts and focus on the safety of the environment as our goal. We even look at how to craft the conversation to ensure as much as possible that it will be well received.

In addition, the professional community has had an eye on the most vulnerable and how to empower them to avoid the risks. We turned our attention to empowering every adult in the community to create environments where abuse cannot occur. Why this way? Why is it important to focus on all adults? Why do we have our eye on you and your friends, family, and neighbors as the real heroes of prevention? This episode lays it out carefully for everyone to understand. We want you to buy into our plan to protect children by becoming Alert Adults who Keep Them Safe.

    When Being "Polite" is Not the Answer

    Send us a text Programs for children are designed to empower them to resist the overtures of a predator. They teach children to say "No!", run away and tell somebody when another scares them or makes them uncomfortable. This episode considers that the opportunity of programs for children could and possibly should be expanded to teach them how to establish and enforce personal boundaries in a world that expects them to be "polite" all the time.
