    Season 8 Finale: Mrs. Knowles' Meatloaf!

    We’ve made it to the season 8 finale! If you’ve tuned in for awhile, you know every season ends with a book-inspired recipe. I hope you enjoy Mrs. Knowles' Meatloaf, inspired by A Veritable Household Pet! Mrs. Knowles' Meatloaf Ingredients 1.5 lbs ground beef1 egg1 onion, chopped fine1 cup milk1 cup dried bread crumbs (Panko works)Salt and pepper to taste1/3 cup ketchup (Heinz!)2 Tbsp brown sugar2 Tbsp mustardDirections Preheat your oven to 350F. Grease either a loaf pan or a 9x13” pan (depending on what shape you want for your meatloaf).Mix together the beef, egg, onion, milk, breadcrumbs, and salt and pepper in a bowl, then press into your prepared loaf or 9x13” pan.In a separate bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread over the top of your meatloaf.Bake at 350F for about an hour, or until the internal temperature is at least 160F.Enjoy!
