James Cameron once said he wanted to make five Avatar movies. Then he said he had ideas for seven, or even eight Avatar movies. Like it or not, we’re getting Avatar movies for the rest of our lives. Which means James Cameron has a lot of work ahead of him. So we may as well try and make his life a little easier. AvaChat is a podcast in which comedians Caitlyn Peffer and Sam Grein pitch Avatar sequels until we die. Every week we meet up to discuss the Avatar universe, the inner workings of James Cameron’s psyche, and try and figure out the plot of each announced sequel, and beyond. we're not screenwriters and we’ve never made a two billion dollar box office hit, but it can’t be that hard. Episode 9 - Avatar delays and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

This week Caity and I talk about the bombshell delays of the Avatar sequels, as well as the newly shown off video game Avatar Frontiers of Pandora! Bit of a shorter one to apologise for the feature length episode last week. We'll be back soon with Avatar 6! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

  2. 06/23/2023

Episode 8 - Avatar 5: Eat Beans and Get Big

Wow what a journey this was... Caity and I build off our ludicrous cliffhanger from the last avatar movie and somehow make it more absurd. We talk about Jake's fated meeting with his ex-lover, Spider's failing businenss enterprise, and we talk for too long about what stevia is. Which is any amount of time. Thank you for joining us once more on Pandora (and now New York). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Episode 7 - Toruk: The First Flight

We're back! And we're talking quite possibly the biggest Avatar that's ever been... a Cirque du Soleil arena show based on Avatar. If you didn't know about this we don't blame you. We talk about how we reckon we could probably do all the tricks, what we could do to improve it, and how genuinely damn pretty it is. Also a cat shows up. Thanks for listening folks! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Episode 6 - Avatar: The Tulkun Rider

Wow did this not go the way I had expected. This week Caity and I chat our second original sequel, Avatar The Tulkan Rider. We entirely pivot the Avatar franchise into a workplace comedy, find surprising and interesting directions for all the characters to go in, and potentially run the Avatar franchise into the ground. You're welcome James! Don't worry there's water in this one too. Thanks for listening! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Episode 5 - Pandora: The World of Avatar (Sort of)

On our first spin-off episode of Ava'chat Caity and I have a loosey -goosey talk about the mysitcal land of Pandora... Not the moon of course, but the attractionn within Disneyworld. We have a chat about the rides, the strange place in the avatar timeline the park fits into, and we reply to a fan with very strong opinions about our previous episodes. Thank you so much for listening everyone, next week we'll be pitching Avatar 4! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Episode 4 - Avatar: The Seed Bearer

Welcome back to Ava'Chat, this episode we begin the podcast in earnest by pitching the second of the many supposed sequels to Avatar: Avatar The Seed Bearer (title pending). We theorize on who Michelle Yeoh will be playing, what whacky antics Jake and his theatre kid son Lo'ak get into, and what role a certain one armed Australian might be playing in the sequel... We had a bit of fun on this one. Thank you for listening! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Episode 3 - Avatar The Way of Water

Welcome one and all to our breakdown of last years biggest film, Avatar: The Second One. Caitlyn and I submerge ourselves into this noticeably wetter sequel, make fun of Jake for being more of a goof than ever, and Caitlyn gets upset about an ugly baby. Thank you for listening and enjoy the episode! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    Episode 2 - Avatar

Here it is. The cinematic titan that is Avatar. Caity and I have a thorough chat about the 2009 blockbuster and what we think of it, where we were when it came out, and our bewilderment over the Na'vi anatomy. Apologies for the audio issues on this episode, will be cleaned up for next weeks episode! Thank you very much for listening. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    Episode 1 - James Cameron

On the first episode of Ava'chat, Caitlyn and I ava'chat about the creator of Avatar, James Cameron, his previous movies, what we reckon about them, as well as his many ex wives and obsession with water. Apologies for the audio quality on this episode, I also had a bit of a cold so I sound like I'm trying to swallow an orange, we'll have everything fixed up on the next ep. Thank you for listening and we'll see you next week for a chat about Avatar! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
