    EP 52: Married in Manhattan

    🗽This week, we’re in New York City— fully cosplaying life as a true married couple with our 23-year-old “daughter” who’s in fashion school (don’t ask, just go with it). In reality, we’re sharing a room with her three roommates and an air mattress, surviving on bagels, bodega coffee, and pure delusion. We stay up all night and do a Gilmore Girls–style food tour like it’s our livlihood!🍕 🍁🍂Fall in New York has us convinced life is actually worth living — the outfits, the energy, the dramaaaaa🤸But it’s dangerous… because city moms are out here doing God’s work making us catch baby fever, and honestly, don’t own a corgi unless you want every man, woman, and tourist to stop you on the street! Somewhere between the catcalls (we’re the catcallers apparently), the bagels, and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, we start to question everything — from “how much work on your face is too much?” to “why do 2000s fantasies still run our lives?” to “should we actually move here?” And yes, we have a surprise guest joining us this week (hint: our daughter)!!!!! Oh, and Amna shares how her entire family watches the pod — which somehow spirals into a conversation about saving Imran Khan (because of course it does) It’s us in the city that never sleeps — and let’s be real, this sh*t hits different (and harder) in our 30s

    EP 51: Scary Tales of: Jinns, Bollywood’s Flop Era, & Boy Bdays

    It’s spooky season, which means every brown girl’s #1 admirer is—wait for it—a jinn. Because if you didn’t grow up being warned that one’s going to fall in love with you non-consensually, what was your childhood even? 👀  We spiral from supernatural situationships to Sana’s post-Saiyaara emotional damage, reminiscing on the golden era when Bollywood made us kick our feet, sob dramatically, and practice our “no don’t go” lines in the mirror. Who needs a storyline when you have delusion and desire? 💔 (Spoiler: Amna hated it.) Then we get real messy (because Bollywood still is) and discuss why some “icons” need to be uncancelled, audited, and re-cancelled—for cultural balance. And somewhere in between all that, we spiral into the eternal mystery: why do boys hate their birthdays? Like—why are you acting like we scheduled your public execution? And more importantly, what are we even supposed to buy them? Socks? Trauma therapy? A clue? 🎁 In our Can I Be a Bitch? segment, Amna exposes the difference between movie-watchers and vibe killers, while Sana questions if the word “vintage” has officially lost all meaning.
