Episode 161: Making More Money Doesn’t Mean You’re Building Financial Freedom

Making more money and building financial freedom aren’t necessarily the same thing. In this episode, I’m sharing something I’ve been observing in real time as I watch people further down the road navigate money, lifestyle, business, and major financial changes. This isn’t financial advice, and it’s not about judging how anyone spends their money. It’s about choices, freedom, and playing the long game. I’m breaking down three things worth considering: Why your lifestyle doesn’t have to automatically rise with your income How a high income can make you feel financially free before you actually are Why the real flex may be having choices, not simply having more things Sometimes financial freedom looks a lot less flashy than we think. It can look like margin, flexibility, assets, the ability to say no, and the freedom to weather a difficult season without everything falling apart. So here’s the question I want you thinking about: What do you eventually want your money to give you? 🎧 Listen in and decide what financial freedom looks like for you. Episode 160: You Don’t Need More Information. You Need the Right Room.

You can listen to another podcast. Read another book. Save another post. Google the answer, but at some point, you don’t need more information. You need the right room. If you’re a high achiever, chances are you’re really good at figuring things out on your own. You’re capable. You’re resourceful. You’re probably the person other people come to when they need an answer. But who’s challenging you? Who’s helping you see what you can’t see when you’re too close to it? Who’s calling you forward when you’re second-guessing yourself, playing small, or sitting on something you know you’re ready to do?  In this episode, I’m talking about why information alone doesn’t create transformation—and why having the right people in your corner can change everything. The support, mentorship, encouragement and yes showing you how to get more of the kind of life you want to have, is where we are going with today’s episode. I’m also sharing why I’m bringing back The Flourishing Edge Inner Circle, and why this version is less about giving you more content to simply consume and much more about coaching, mentorship, perspective, and helping you actually MOVE. In this episode, we talk about: Why high achievers often default to figuring everything out alone The downside of always being the capable one everyone else relies on Why success doesn’t make you immune to self-doubt or imposter syndrome The difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it Why the right mentor, coach, or room can accelerate your growth My own experience building businesses, navigating change, and wishing I’d had this kind of support earlier What I’m learning in this season of becoming “Kristi 2.0” Why achievement and fulfillment aren’t always the same thing What I’m creating inside the new Flourishing Edge Inner Circle and who it’s for You’ve figured out a lot on your own. You don’t have to keep doing it that way. Join the Flourishing Edge Inner Circle Waitlist The doors to The Flourishing Edge Inner Circle are opening soon.  This is a private coaching and mentorship membership for ambitious people and high achievers who want more—more clarity, more confidence, more momentum, and more fulfillment in what they’re building and becoming. Episode 159: Stop Editing Yourself to Fit the Room

Have you ever changed pieces of yourself not because you wanted to grow, but because you thought you needed to fit in, be taken more seriously, or meet someone else's idea of what a successful leader should look like? In this episode of The Kristi Jones Show: Thriving in Business & Life, Kristi reflects on the years she spent subtly editing herself to fit the room….from toning down her natural energy to changing how she dressed and even how she wore her hair. What seemed like professionalism at the time eventually revealed an important distinction: there's a difference between growing into a better version of yourself and editing yourself into a version you think other people will accept. Kristi shares what she's learned about reading the room without losing yourself in it, knowing which feedback helps you grow and recognizing when you're simply making yourself smaller. In this episode: The subtle ways we edit ourselves to gain acceptance or credibility Why adapting to the room isn't the same as abandoning who you are The difference between personal growth and self-editing How to know when feedback is helping you grow or teaching you to shrink Why the qualities you've been toning down may actually be part of your advantage As we wrap up summer and head into a new season, maybe the question isn't only, What do I need to change? Maybe it's also: What have I been unnecessarily editing that I'm finally ready to bring back? You don't have to look like the room to lead the room. Episode 158: How to Lead Yourself Through Life’s Transitions

Life transitions have a way of bringing everything to the surface…our fears, our attachment to certainty, our confidence, and ultimately, how much we trust ourselves. In this episode of The Kristi Jones Show: Thriving in Business & Life, Kristi shares a very personal transition as she closes the chapter on a home and life in Oklahoma that spans nearly three decades and steps into what’s next. Because whether you're changing careers, becoming an empty nester, stepping into leadership, starting something new, or simply feeling that one season of life is coming to an end, there’s one thing to remember: Readiness isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision. Kristi shares a simple three-part framework to help you lead yourself well through seasons of change: Notice. Decide. Act. You’ll learn why transitions can reveal so much about who we are, why waiting for certainty can keep us stuck, and how taking one small action can begin creating the momentum and confidence you need to move forward. A few questions to take with you: Where in my life am I waiting to feel ready? What fear is underneath that? What decision can I make today? What action can I take in the next 24 hours? You don’t need the perfect decision or perfect timing. You need to trust yourself enough to make the next one. Your next level isn’t waiting on permission. It’s waiting on your decision. Episode 157: You Don't Need More Information. You Need More Decisions.

Have you ever left a conference, workshop, seminar, or even finished an incredible book feeling completely inspired... only to realize a few weeks later that nothing actually changed? You're not alone. In this episode of The Kristi Jones Show: Thriving in Business & Life, Kristi explores one of the biggest reasons personal and professional growth stalls. It's usually not because we need more information. It's because we never turn what we've learned into decisions that lead to action. Kristi shares why motivation naturally fades once we return to our everyday routines, why that's completely normal, and most importantly, how to create momentum that lasts long after the inspiration wears off. Whether you've attended a conference this summer, listened to a podcast that challenged you, or have pages of notes sitting on your desk, this episode will help you bridge the gap between learning and living. In this episode, you'll discover: • Why information alone never creates lasting change• The difference between collecting knowledge and making decisions that move your life forward• Why motivation fades when you return to your normal routine and what to do instead• How to avoid constantly searching for the next book, podcast, certification, or conference instead of applying what you already know• A simple strategy for turning one idea into real momentum• Why staying connected with growth-minded people increases accountability and follow-through• One powerful question that can move you from inspiration to action within the next 24 hours Your Challenge Before you move on to the next podcast, the next book, or the next training, pause and ask yourself: What decision can I make in the next 24 hours because of what I've learned? Because information may inspire you, but your decisions are what transform your life. Ep 154: The Courage to Let People Be Wrong About You (Part 1)

Have you ever stopped yourself from doing something you wanted to do because of what someone else might think? Whether it's starting a business, speaking up in a meeting, setting a boundary, making a big life change, or pursuing a dream, many of us give far too much power to the opinions of others. In this episode of The Kristi Jones Show, we're diving into why other people's opinions can feel so heavy and how constantly seeking approval, understanding, and validation may be keeping you stuck. You'll learn why people create their own stories about you, how people-pleasing is often fear in disguise, and why someone else's opinion is never the same thing as the truth. If you've ever felt exhausted trying to explain yourself, defend your decisions, or get everyone on board with your choices, this episode is for you. In This Episode: ✔ Why people will always interpret your life through their own lens ✔ The hidden cost of needing everyone to understand your decisions ✔ How people-pleasing is often rooted in fear of rejection, criticism, or disappointment ✔ Why other people's opinions are not facts ✔ The freedom that comes from letting go of constant approval-seeking Key Takeaway: You cannot control what people think about you, but you can control how much power you give their opinions. The moment you stop making other people's approval a requirement for your next step is the moment you begin creating a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with who you truly are. Memorable Quote: "Just because someone thinks something about you doesn't make it true."
