Lately, I've been stuck on Proverbs 4:23, "Guard your heart with all vigilance, for out of it flow the springs of life." It's like, "Cortney, you can't move on just yet because there's still so much here." 🤯 And honestly, Solomon, the man of wisdom and wealth, knew what he was talking about. 💡💰 Look at 1 John 5:21 Amplified Classic Version 😳"Little children, keep yourselves from idols, false gods, from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for him that would take first place in your life. Amen. So let it be!"  Yikes, right?! I mean, it located me first—the word was reading me as I was reading it! 😂📖 From businesses 🚀 to relationships 👥, and even hobbies 🎾, there are so many little whispers trying to take that sacred spot. Let’s get real for a minute. ✋ Have you ever felt like something has slowly crept up and taken over your time, attention, and maybe even your heart's worship? It's time to do a heart check! 🧡🔍 Whether it's your work, a person, or a binge-worthy series 📺, these things can subtly become the idols in your life. But don't worry! 💪 Instead of feeling condemned, let's feel convicted—a nudge from God to make things right. Let's acknowledge these sneaky idols, admit them to God 🗣️🙏, and ask for His grace to put Him back in His rightful place.
