    39. Going Within and Letting Go - In Honor of the Solstice/Yule and World Meditation Day

    Hello and thank you for listening to this special episode of Are You Spiritual? Even with all the busy-ness and pressure this time of year can bring, there is always the deeper call to reflection. While I talk a bit about the energy this time of year, relate that to The Hermit and Four of Swords in the Tarot (can't stop won't stop with the Tarot Segments!), and finish up with a sweet Crystal Corner - the focus of this episode is the Meditation at the 15 minute mark. The meditation is a quilt of practices gleaned from my experience and work with clients. Incorporating foundational elements such as grounding and running energy, and the concept of one's Higher Self. I also take you on a journey to release the lessons of the past year and burdens that have long served their purpose; this creates space for expansion and growth.     37. Tonic Masculinity

    HI! Thank you for listening to this episode of Are You Spiritual? My intention with this episode is to begin a dialogue around the ever emerging concept currently in the spiritual world, of the "Rise of the Divine Feminine." While I plan a separate episode going deeper into that, it feels urgent to remember the divine alchemy necessary for each of us to find deeper peace and alignment; that is the union of our opposites, the integration of our light and shadow, finding ebb and flow of our own divine "masculine" and divine "feminine." This is a pretty esoteric solo episode and view into the noodle soup of my mind, and it's all very far from perfect or complete but I do hope it provides some deeper understanding and brings balance to what has felt like a lopsided conversation. In this episode, Spirituality and Social Media collide as Shannon Calder (LMFT, PhD and host of Terror Talk) discuss both Guru Jagat and the creators of Twin Flames Universe. Guru Jagat became the dynamic face of Kundalini Yoga in the West, creating the popular RA MA Center in Venice and had a star studded following. I attempt to explain the complicated history and lexicon around Kundalini while Shannon and I explore the many twists and turns that made Kundalini Katie into Guru Jagat. Shannon and I revisit Twin Flames Universe and discuss a new documentary about the founders. Luckily, we also have the founders' new podcast to dive into; and while we have a lot of fun and a few laughs, it is very clear that in this new era, these kind of cultish leaders are becoming more savvy and manipulative.
