When a mom says they're going to dole out certain punishments/consequences but don't follow through with them, the child starts to think that sometimes there are consequences and sometimes there aren't. This conditioning will have a ripple impact on their future careers, their marriages and relationships someday, their leadership roles, etc. The skill of being able to honor our word is so CRITICAL.
