At The House Call Vet Café, we make it our mission to give our community of house call veterinarians a platform to share their stories, lift each other up, support each other, and share actionable tips, whether they are a super experienced house call vet with 30 years of experience, a brand new prospective house call vet just looking to get started… or are simply house call curious! We highlight house call veterinarians in our community who are doing unique and innovative things. You can also look forward to hearing valuable information and perspectives on mobile practice from specialists & experts outside of the mobile veterinary microniche. To help other veterinarians pursue their paths as mobile vets, I started The House Call Vet Academy. This is a continuing education program designed to provide detailed results-driven support for veterinarians practicing on a mobile basis.     Ep. 93: Weirdapalooza!: Shamanism, Mushrooms, Neurodivergent "Archetypes," & Emotion in House Call Vet Practice; Meet Dr. Tai Ogg

    Dr. Tai Ogg graduated from Iowa State University in 2014. She spent the first 5 years after graduation as an associate working in privately owned and corporate medicine before transitioning to full time relief work in 2019. She has worked in emergency, shelter medicine, general practice, and urgent care. She started her own healing journey in 2020 that led her to learn reiki, become a Shamanic practitioner, and become certified in medical massage and botanical medicine for companion animals. She opened her own integrative mobile practice, Wilder Path Wellness, in January 2025 after feeling the pull to slow down for the benefit of pets and their guardians. She currently resides in the southwest suburbs of Chicago with her husband, step-son, and their pit-mix Fiona. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and making jewelry.     Ep. 91: Bread Crumbs from the Universe: Integrative House Call Vet Practice in San Diego; Meet Dr. Wendy Lipman

    Dr. Wendy is an Integrative housecall veterinarian in San Diego, California. She is a 1994 UC Davis grad (yes, she graduated in the 1900's) and received her acupuncture certification from Chi University in 2018. She started her housecall practice, Four Paws Mobile Veterinary Acupuncture, in 2019 as a side gig to a permanent relief job at a brick-and-mortar general practice. She never dreamed this would, or could, become her career path. The practice quickly grew, and in March 2025, she quit her toxic relief job to focus on full-time house calls. It has been an amazing evolution in her veterinary career, and she is grateful every day to be where she has landed.     Ep 89: Relief Vet to Concierge Practice: Remembering Our Worth; Meet Dr. Fumiko Miyamoto

    Dr. Fumiko Miyamoto is the founder of Scoobie's Veterinary Concierge Service, a membership-based house-call veterinary practice serving South Florida. Originally from Japan, she moved to the United States at age 15 to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Her path into veterinary medicine was anything but traditional. Before earning her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, she spent over a decade working as a Registered Veterinary Technician in emergency medicine. In 2018, she started her own veterinary relief practice supporting clinics across South Florida, and that experience eventually led her to launch Scoobie's Veterinary Concierge Service in August 2025—bringing personalized veterinary care directly into pets' homes. She shares her home with her three dachshunds—Mabel, Charlie, and Ava—and enjoys spending time going to Pilatie's class, quilting, and traveling.     Dr. Sarah graduated from Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Following graduation, she completed a year-long small animal internship in Atlanta, Georgia, before returning to the greater Kansas City area. She worked in two small animal clinics before launching her own mobile veterinary practice on Halloween in 2016.  She lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, three children, two dogs, and two cats. She had a house and boat call practice in the Florida Keys from 2005- 2022 called Island Paws of Key West. She also worked PT picking up relief shifts at the Florida Keys SPCA. She traded the mountains for the ocean in 2022 when she moved with her family to Steamboat Springs, Co. She currently is a relief vet for the Routt County Humane Society and has a small house call practice called Pampered Pet Home Vet. Lastly, she is part of a new business called The Veterkin Society which seeks to provide resources and savings to every vet.
