    Hi there loyal listener. Here's a little something to tide you over while we work on our finale. We have some beef with this list and we gave it the business. Big time.     2: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of TIme

    It's a Thanksgiving Eve miracle.  It's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.  There's literally nothing to be said about this game that's not already been said, but we somehow recorded a full podcast about it. Probably by not saying really anything at all.  Things are wrapping up for the ol' podcast, but we have some extra...extras on the tail end.  As we near Thanksgiving we here at 100 Games and a Funeral want to say thank you to everyone who has tuned in and specifically to Koji Kondo. He didn't tune in, but he's a literal genius matched by few. It's neat to share the same planet.   @100gamesandafuneral on socials

George "The game is about nothing" Jerry "Well it's not about "nothing" George "No, it's about NOTHING" Jerry "Well, maybe in philosophy... but even nothing is something" Executive #2 "What's the premise?" Jerry "Well, as I was saying, I would play myself as a Japanese teenager living in Japan, and I'd have a bunch of neighbors and my dad gets punched to death and an old grandma...which is all true" George "yea, but nothing happens in the game. You see, it...it's just like life...ya know you eat, ya go shopping, you read, you eat, you read, you go shopping" Executive #1 "You read? You read in the game?" Jerry "well, I don't know about the reading...we didn't discuss the reading." Executive #1 "Alright, tell me...tell me about the story" George "No story" Executive #1 "No story? So...what is it?" George "What did you do today?" Executive #1 "I got up and came to work" George "THERE'S a game, that's a game!" Executive #1 "How's that a game?" Jerry "Well...uh...maybe something happens to you on the way to work" George "No NO NO! Nothing happens!" Jerry "Well....something happens!" Executive #1 "Well, why am I playing it?" George "Because it's on Dreamcast!" Executive #1 "Not yet" George "Ok...uh...look, if you want to just keep doing the same old thing...then maybe this idea is not for you. I for one am NOT going to compromise my artistic integrity. And I'll tell you something else...this is the game, and we're NOT gonna change it" It's Shenmue (1).     6: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

    Every once in a while a game comes along that captures the essence of human ingenuity, technical prowess, and artistic expression. Today's game does that and even more. It's Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Not even a funny bit to put in here. Maybe something about smashing pots? Who knows. This game stands on it's own as a crowning achievement of the genre.     7: Final Fantasy 7

    Welp...we're back. Look, we're not happy about this big delay either. We're so dang close and then our host has some real annoying issues. That's all behind us though. Because this week we have: Final Fantasy 7!!! You know it? Yea, you know it. You love it? Maybe you do. It's here and we played it (a month ago and not anymore since then). Still though...here's the dang episode. It's a good game by all metrics of a good game, and we can't begin to deny that. Some people love this game so much it's insane.     8: Doom

    When you leave Columbus, OH on I-71 south heading to to Cincinnati there's a big sign. It proclaims in large font "HELL IS REAL"...the H is in red. Some would say that sign is a warning. Other might say it's a reminder. For The Unchained Predator, The Beast, Hellwalker, DOOM Marine, The Slayer....or as we all know him Doomguy...it's a happy reminder. That's right listener. This week we go straight to heck and shoot anything that moves. DOOM 1 coming straight at you. We really discuss it real nice like. We're back to a form not seen for a good 6-8 months.
