I Am Love – Tina’s Podcast is a space for honest conversations about what it means to be human, to heal, to remember who you are and to come home to yourself. Hosted by systemic constellation facilitator and entrepreneur Tina Memic,  this podcast explores the invisible patterns that shape our lives - from family dynamics, relationships and childhood wounds to money, identity, shadow work, spirituality and the nervous system. Some episodes go deep. Some challenge the way we think about healing. Some are simply reflections on life, love and everything we were taught we needed to become. Because perhaps the journey isn’t about endlessly fixing yourself. Perhaps it’s about remembering that you were whole all along. Welcome to I Am Love.

The Mother Wound & all its implications

When Being Strong Becomes Your Survival Strategy When we hear the words mother wound, we often imagine a mother who was absent, cold, neglectful or unloving. But sometimes the mother wound looks completely different. Sometimes you love your mother deeply. Sometimes you saw how much she suffered. You saw how difficult her marriage was. You saw how much responsibility she carried. Maybe you saw her sacrifice herself for everyone around her. Maybe you watched her tolerate things that, even as a child, you somehow knew were not okay. And somewhere inside of you, you made a decision: I will not be another burden for her. Nobody had to say this to you. You simply felt it. Mom already has enough. Mom cannot take any more. So I will be good. I will manage. I will not need too much. And this is where something very interesting begins. Because what starts as love can eventually become an identity. The Good Girl You become the child who does well in school. The responsible one. The one teachers like. The one nobody needs to worry about. Maybe you start taking responsibility very early. You organize things. You help with your siblings. You solve problems. You become emotionally mature far too quickly. And sometimes you don’t only try to protect your mother from your needs. You start trying to protect her from your father. You see what is happening between them and think: Somebody needs to stand up for her. So you do. And suddenly, energetically and psychologically, you are no longer simply the child. You have stepped into something that belongs to the adults. From a systemic perspective, this is important. The relationship between your parents belongs to your parents. They chose each other. Whatever happened between them, however painful it may have been to witness, it was never the child’s responsibility to repair their relationship, protect one parent from the other or become the emotional partner of either one. But children don’t know that. Children love blindly. And sometimes our deepest entanglements begin with the most innocent sentence: “Mom, I will help you.” When Love Becomes Superiority Now this is the uncomfortable part. Because consciously, you don’t think: I’m better than my mother. You don’t think: I’m stronger than her. You don’t think: I know better. Quite the opposite. You think you are helping her. Protecting her. Honoring her. But underneath the protection can be another movement: “You cannot handle this. I can.” And suddenly the child has become big and the mother has become small. Not because the child is arrogant. Because the child is terrified. If Mom is helpless, somebody has to be strong. And if nobody else is doing it, I will. This is how superiority can sometimes hide inside sacrifice. Not superiority as an attitude. Superiority as a survival position. And Then You Grow Up And everybody admires you. You’re so independent. You’re so capable.               You’re so strong. You can handle anything. And you think: Yes. That’s just who I am. But is it? Or was there once a little girl who learned: Needing somebody creates problems. So you became hyper-independent. Giving feels wonderful to you. Receiving? Much more complicated. You can pay the bill. You can help someone. You can rescue someone. You can take responsibility. You can hold space. You can solve the problem. But when somebody wants to do something for you, something inside of you becomes uncomfortable. “No, no, no. It’s okay.” “I’ve got it.” “You don’t have to.” Because receiving can come with a hidden fear: If I take from you, I owe you something. If I need you, you have power over me. If I depend on you, you might disappoint me. So giving becomes safer than receiving. And yes, this can create incredibly successful women. It can create leaders. Entrepreneurs. High achievers. Women who can walk into chaos and somehow organize the entire room. But there is another side to it.             It can become incredibly lonely. Because if you never need anyone, eventually nobody knows how to be there for you. You sit there saying: “I don’t need anybody.” And one day you realize: Maybe I don’t need anybody. But I would really like somebody. Healing means: I can take responsibility for myself and still allow myself to receive from you. I can need without becoming helpless. I can receive without owing. I can love without rescuing. I can be disappointed without becoming five years old again.       I can let somebody support me without handing them responsibility for my entire emotional world. Giving Mother Her Life Back And perhaps the deepest part of healing the mother wound is this: You stop trying to save your mother. Not because you don’t love her. Because you finally respect her. You begin to see: My mother is the big one. I am the small one. She came before me. She had a life before I arrived. She made choices I may never fully understand. She carried circumstances that belonged to her generation, her family system, her history and her destiny. And I don’t honor her suffering by suffering too. I don’t honor her sacrifice by making my own life difficult. I don’t honor her by becoming responsible for her happiness. Perhaps one of the greatest ways I can honor my mother is by taking the life she gave me, and actually living it. I can say: Mom, I see what you carried. I see what it cost you. And I leave with you what belongs to you. I don’t need to save you anymore. You are my mother. I am your daughter. And the life you gave me was enough. Now I will do something beautiful with it!" When we stop being our mother’s mother. When we stop asking our partner to become ours. And when we finally learn that receiving does not make us weak. Needing does not make us a burden. And being loved does not require us to earn our place by being the strongest person in the room. The Father Wound

The Father Wound and how to heal it.  The relationship with our father can shape far more of our lives than we realize. Our sense of safety. Our self-worth. Our relationship with success, money, love, authority, the masculine - and even our ability to move forward in life. In this episode, lovely Sara Tuqan, Life Coach and Facilitator, and I -  explore the Father Wound very practical, and through the lens of systemic and family constellations. What happens when Dad was absent, emotionally unavailable, critical, controlling, unpredictable - or simply unable to give us what we needed? And what happens when, consciously or unconsciously, we reject him? We explore how the father wound can show up in adulthood, including patterns around relationships, confidence, achievement, boundaries, trust, receiving, and feeling supported by life. We also look at the different ways we learn to cope with an unresolved father wound - from overachieving and hyper-independence to people-pleasing, perfectionism, choosing unavailable partners, or spending our lives trying to prove that we are enough. But healing the father wound is not about pretending that what happened was okay. And it is not about forcing forgiveness. From a constellation perspective, healing begins when we learn to separate what our father did from the fact that he is our father - and when we become able to take the life that came through him without having to carry his wounds, his choices, or his destiny. In this episode, we talk about what it means to take our father into our heart, to give back what does not belong to us, and to step out of the role of the wounded child. Because sometimes the deepest healing is not changing our father. It is changing the place he holds within us. 🎧 In this episode, we explore: • What the father wound is • Common signs and symptoms of an unresolved father wound • Absent and emotionally unavailable fathers • How childhood experiences with Dad can affect adult relationships • Hyper-independence, perfectionism and overachieving • The connection between the father, success, money and moving forward in life • Why rejecting our father can keep us internally entangled with him • The systemic and Family Constellations perspective on the father wound • What it means to “take your father” • How we can begin healing without denying what happened • Moving from the wounded child into our adult self If you have ever wondered why your relationship with your father still seems to echo through your relationships, choices, emotions or sense of self, this episode is for you. ✨ Ready to go deeper? If this episode resonated with you and you feel ready to explore and heal your own father wound, I created a complete Heal the Father Wound online course inside the School of Life. When the World feels unsafe: Returning to Peace within

In this deeply personal episode, I speak from the heart during a tense moment in the region, a time when many people in Dubai and across the UAE were feeling uncertainty, fear, and emotional stress. Today we talk from my beautiful garden, a home I manifested over the past years, and am joined by Life Coach and Facilitator Shilpa Sen, who is asking some fundamental questions. As someone who has called Dubai home for over two decades, I share what it means to stay grounded when the world around you feels unstable, and how the body responds when safety feels shaken. We explore trauma in the nervous system, why the body may tremble or react under stress, and how healing begins when we allow those responses instead of suppressing them.   This conversation also goes deeper into one of my core beliefs: that life mirrors what still seeks healing within us. Not from blame, guilt, or fault, but from empowerment. When conflict appears outside, can we meet the conflict inside? When fear rises around us, can we soothe the fear within us?   I share why I choose love over hate, inner work over projection, and how sending peace, even toward those we struggle to understand, can be one of the most radical healing acts of all.   Inside this episode:   • The Illusion of Control  • How trauma lives and moves through the body   • Staying resourceful in uncertain times   • The difference between responsibility and blame   • Why external conflict often reflects internal wounds   • Nervous system grounding tools you can use immediately   • Choosing love when fear and anger would be easier   This is an episode about resilience, consciousness, and remembering your power in times of uncertainty.   If the outside world feels loud right now, this conversation will guide you back to your inner center. A small guided meditation will help you join us in a resourceful state.  Welcome to I am Love. Thank you for tuning in. You Are Already Whole – Shadow Work, Love & The Illusion of “Fixing Yourself”

Who you are today is already enough.  You are worthy exactly as you are. But do you truly allow yourself to see that? In this episode, Tina Memić dives deep into one of the biggest illusions on the healing journey: the belief that something is “wrong” with you - that you need to be fixed, healed, or perfected before you can truly live, love, or be fulfilled. Interviewed by Shilpa Sen, a gifted facilitator and life coach. We explore the concept of the shadow self - the parts of us we have rejected, suppressed, or hidden because we were taught they are not acceptable. But what if these very parts are not the problem… but the gateway to your wholeness? This conversation challenges common narratives around self-love, healing, and relationships. Do you really need to fully love yourself before entering a relationship? Or is love itself the space where healing naturally unfolds? Tina shares powerful insights on: Why you are already whole and complete — even with your shadowsHow suppressing parts of yourself creates the illusion of “not enoughness”The truth about shadow work and why we resist seeing our own shadowsHealing through relationships and the beauty of being seen by anotherThe role of the nervous system in connection, especially in feminine–masculine dynamicsHow love can mirror back the parts of you that you struggle to acceptRewriting internal stories around responsibility, pressure, and being “everything for everyone”The power of boundaries and asking: What would someone who truly loves themselves choose? This episode is an invitation to stop searching for the next problem… and start embracing the truth that nothing is missing. Because healing is not about becoming someone else. It’s about allowing all of you to belong. ✨ Key Takeaways You don’t need to be “fully healed” to be loved or to loveYour shadow is not your flaw, it is your untapped potentialRelationships can be a powerful space for healing and self-recognitionYou are not responsible for everyone, boundaries are an act of self-loveWholeness is not something you achieve, it is something you remember ✨ Are you ready to go deeper?  Then explore one of my online courses:  Your Shadow Self - all on the basis of the wisdom of constellations and coaching.  Are you ready to discover what you have been supressing and integrate?  https://www.school-of-life.ae/shadow-work Love, Tina Welcome to I am Love. The Spiritual Ego Trap - Are you Enlightened?

In this episode, I speak with Lotus Habbab about a subtle but powerful trap on the spiritual path: the spiritual ego. At some point in the journey, many people begin to identify as “healed,” “awake,” or even “enlightened.” But what happens when spirituality becomes another mask… another identity the ego hides behind? And then comes the next layer… You learn how to manifest. You learn how to tap into the quantum field. You begin to understand energy, frequency, alignment. And suddenly… it feels like you know.  But what happens then? Very often, the ego doesn’t disappear. It evolves. It becomes more refined, more spiritual, more convincing. So let me tell you this, the moment you think you are enlightened… you are not. Because enlightenment is not something you can claim. True growth is not about bypassing pain or constantly “being in the light.” It’s about the willingness to meet what is real, raw, and sometimes uncomfortable. In my experience, real humility begins where certainty ends. And this is something I deeply learned through constellation work. As facilitators, we are not the most important person in the room. We are the least important. We don’t lead from ego, from knowing. We step back. We listen. We allow something greater to move through the field. The moment we think we are the ones doing the work… we are already out of alignment. Maybe this is the real invitation: To stay humble. To stay open. To stay human. Because the deeper truth might be this: The more we believe we have arrived… the further we are from truth. It is wonderful that so many of you are on this path, but the moment we identify with it, we feel important due to it and we look down on others as more "advanced" it's time to notice, we have fallen into the spiritual Ego trap. Enjoy the listen!  Welcome to I am Love. Thank you for tuning in. Trauma, Shock & the Nervous System – with love from Dubai

Today’s episode is deeply personal. I’m recording this from Dubai, my home for more than 20 years. A city I love. A country I am endlessly grateful for. A place where I have grown, built my life, learned constellation work, and opened my heart. This weekend, we experienced something unexpected and frightening. Dubai was targeted amid geopolitical tensions. And although this city is considered one of the safest in the world, something happened that reminded me: When the unknown strikes, the body reacts. Even when the mind knows you are safe… Even when you trust… Even when you believe… The body can still go into shock. In this episode, I speak about: What trauma actually isWhat happens in the nervous system during shockFight, flight, freeze - and why freeze often feels like powerlessnessWhy the unknown is so destabilizingHow media exposure and social feeds intensify fear responsesWhy children and animals mirror our regulationThe difference between primary and secondary emotionsWhy suppressed emotions become stored traumaHow to regulate your body somaticallyI also share something vulnerable: Although I felt mentally calm and deeply trusting, my body was trembling. I woke up shaking. My system was frozen. And that made me reflect on something bigger. In constellation work, we understand that we don’t only carry our personal experiences. We carry the imprints of our lineage. Modern science now supports this through the field of Epi-Genetics — showing that trauma can be passed down through generations. Sometimes what feels overwhelming in the present moment is older than us. In this episode, I guide you through: A simple ancestral release visualizationSomatic regulation tools (breathwork, movement, EFT tapping)The Hawaiian healing philosophy of Ho’oponoponoWhy compassion dissolves trauma faster than angerHow to step back into your rightful place as the child in your systemYou are not here to carry what does not belong to you. You are here to live your life. And maybe one of the most powerful things we can do in times of fear is to regulate ourselves, because when we regulate, everyone around us regulates too. So in this episode, I also speak about something radical: Sending love even to those who cause harm. Not because we agree. Not because we accept. But because love shifts the field. Ho'ponopono is incredibly powerful. You Don’t Have to Do It All: The Myth of the Perfect Woman

Modern women are building careers, raising children, running households, being wives, daughters, leaders — and often the emotional backbone of everyone around us. And somewhere in between all of that, we quietly ask ourselves: Where am I in all of this? Am I a good mother? Am I a good wife? Am I allowed to want independence and partnership at the same time? In this episode, Lotus Habbab - Film maker and Life coach joins me to discuss this pressing topic. How can modern women balance it all!? We explore one of the most delicate and misunderstood systemic dynamics in modern society: the order of love inside a family. From a systemic constellation perspective, there is a natural hierarchy that brings peace and stability. The couple comes first. The partnership is the foundation. The child is the result of that union. When a baby is born, it is completely natural for the mother’s focus to shift. Biology takes over. The bonding phase is sacred. Especially the first three years are a crucial imprinting time for a child’s nervous system, sense of safety, and emotional foundation. And yet, if the partnership is forgotten, if the man is emotionally sidelined tension enters the system. Many women today are torn between modern independence and traditional values. We want to earn money. We want to feel empowered. We want to be self-sufficient. And at the same time, we long to be present mothers and deeply connected wives. So how do we balance this? What happens when traditional structures clash with modern expectations? What does it mean systemically when a woman places the child above the husband long-term? What happens when financial reality does not allow a woman to stay home, even if she desires to? How do we navigate extended family dynamics without entering power struggles? In this episode, we explore: • Why the partnership must remain the emotional anchor • Why children feel safer when the couple bond is strong • The importance of the early imprint years • The systemic consequences of misplaced hierarchy • How modern women can honor both independence and relational order • How to create balance without burnout This episode is is about understanding invisible systemic forces.  And embracing that every person is unique, every relationship is unique.  When the order is clear, love can flow. When love flows, balance becomes possible. Let’s talk about how modern women can stop surviving, and start thriving! Love, Tina  Welcome to I am Love. Thank you for tuning in.
