    The Around The Campfire Series - The Three Photos

    The Round the Camp Fire” series featured in The Western Champion and General Advertiser for the Central-Western Districts around Barcaldine, Queensland between 1892 and 1922. This story is the first publication, unattributed, later published in 1901 under the author’s name - by “Jimmie Pannikin” (Donald E. Fraser). It’s not a bush story per se – it’s about a small-time urban villain – contrasting the two worlds of the 1890s. It was uncovered and rewritten by ANU.
