In assisting the Communications Department, Malyna was able to observe many different aspects of the clinic’s inner workings. As a Political Science student and Cisneros Scholar, Malyna has been able to find her home away from home. She joins us to talk about her efforts in seeking community and in leaving connections for students yet to come.

    A rising Junior at the University of Arizona, Rebeca joins us for our summer intern series as she concludes her internship with Congressman Ruben Gallego. Beca is a passionate Pre-Med student double majoring in Public Health and Physiology and Health Sciences, and has been able to further harness her passion for health equity and policy during her term on the hill. She shares her story of embracing adversity and challenge, from the early beginnings and currently in higher education. Beca is excited to return to campus this Fall to implement all she has learned this summer and share her experience with others.

As well as her journey in being in the STEM field and all the adversity that has come her way. She shares how impactful her internship has been this summer and how she has handled relocating for the opportunity.
