    Courtney ElizXbeth Loves Horror

Predator catcher and content creator Courtney ElizXbeth joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about confronting real-life horrors and the fictional ones she loves watching! We discuss what inspired her to start catching predators, how she approaches those confrontations, and the role humor plays in handling such serious subject matter. We also dig into three of her favorite horror movies: "Halloween H20," "Saw II," and "Final Destination 5." Our conversation gets deep when we talk about memorable kills, practical effects, and twists that still deserve appreciation. Of course, we get to the question every guest has to answer: "Why do you love horror?" Things naturally take a few detours. We discuss Michael Myers' unexpected upper-body strength, imagine his second career as a Halloween interior decorator, and question why Jigsaw's instructions are apparently harder to follow than his traps are to escape. We also explore the questionable strategy of judging a date by their movie selection, debate whether predator-catching videos are the ultimate prank show (with consequences), and decide I'd be the funny guy in a horror movie who dies in a deeply undignified way. Naturally, the pool scene from "The Final Destination" enters the conversation as I give it the medical designation nobody asked for: "the ultimate colonoscopy." As always, thanks for listening, and be sure to rate/review the show on whatever podcast platform you use. As I always say: if you're a true fan of horror, every night can be a FRIGHT NIGHT! Mini Interview with the Cast of "Last Chance Motel"

I checked into the "Last Chance Motel" with questions for the cast and left with a newfound appreciation for my censor button. Heather Langenkamp, Monica Keena, and Zachary Roozen join me on the I Love Horror Podcast for a special mini interview about what excited them about joining the cast of "Last Chance Motel", written by Danielle Harris, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Brandon Slagle. Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton not only wrote/directed the film, but also star in it alongside today's guests. Our conversation leads us into our shared appreciation for practical effects, which gets me a little too enthusiastic about one particular scene when talking to Heather Langenkamp about how impressed I was by her performance. Thankfully, the bleep button earns its keep and helps to make sure that no spoilers were given on this amazing horror film! I ask Heather Langenkamp and Monica Keena a very hard-hitting Freddy Krueger question. Zachary Roozen also tells me how great it was to be surrounded by some of horror's most famous, talented, and legendary female actors.  We also learn that you apparently haven't made it in the movie industry until someone mangles your last name. Before we check out, I ask everyone the question that brings us all together: "Why do you love horror?" Make your next movie night a motel stay with this terrifying and well-made movie!! "Last Chance Motel" arrives on VOD October 6th. Follow the cast through the links below, share this conversation with a fellow horror fan, and always remember that if you're a true fan of horror, every night can be a FRIGHT NIGHT.   "Last Chance Motel" Instagram @lastchancemotelfilm Heather Langenkamp's Instagram @langenkamph Monica Keena's Instagram @mokeenz Zachary Roozen's Instagram @zacharyroozen   The podcast's intro music was provided by Jax Kellington. Andrew Divoff Loves Horror

Legendary actor Andrew Divoff, best known for bringing the Djinn to life in "Wishmaster" and "Wishmaster 2," joins the I Love Horror Podcast! We talk about his acting process, how he landed his iconic role, and behind-the-scenes stories from the original "Wishmaster," along with the creative pursuits that keep him inspired outside of acting. And, of course, we get to the question every guest has to answer: "Why do you love horror? Things naturally take a few detours. We discuss why more people need to give black-and-white horror movies a chance, discover our shared love of Egyptian lore, and dig into Andrew's favorite deaths from his top three horror movies—because a favorite movie is one thing. Still, a favorite death deserves its own conversation. Andrew also shares fond memories of working alongside the first "Wishmaster" film's incredible lineup of horror legends, and we take a moment to remember Tony Todd and Reggie Bannister. It's a conversation full of movie memories, heartfelt reflection, behind-the-scenes stories, and the enthusiasm that comes from getting two horror fans together with microphones. Come for the "Wishmaster" stories; stay for the detours, the laughs, and a few more reasons to revisit your favorite horror films. Ariel Powers-Schaub Loves Horror

Ariel Powers-Schaub, writer of "Millennial Nasties," joins the I Love Horror Podcast for a conversation about horror writing, movie obsessions, and the wonderfully specific opinions that come from spending way too much time thinking about scary movies. We dig into "Millennial Nasties," Ariel's approach to writing about horror, the films that shaped her taste, and why this genre continues to have such a death grip on both of us. And eventually, we get to the question every guest has to answer: why do you love horror? Things inevitably go off the rails from there. Ariel and I quickly discover that we are both unapologetic found footage snobs, which means some movies are praised, others are judged, and no shaky camera is safe. We get into the weirdly delightful whimsy of Art the Clown, what we are hoping to see from "Terrifier 4," and why "Horror in the High Desert" works as a slow burn even though, several movies in, we have theories, questions, and absolutely no idea who the hell we are supposed to be afraid of. This is what happens when two horror nerds with strong opinions are given microphones and absolutely no adult supervision. It's horror talk, hot takes, tangents, thoughtful criticism, and complete nonsense. Sometimes all within the span of thirty seconds. Be sure to follow Ariel and check out everything she is working on: Instagram: @Ari_Hellraiser Letterboxd: @Ari_Hellraiser Bluesky: @arihellraiser Check out "Millennial Nasties" here: https://encyclopocalypse.com/products/millennial-nasties?_pos=2&_psq=millennial+nast&_psid=eeeb8b433&_ss=e Listen to The Pod and the Pendulum here: https://www.podandthependulum.com/ The podcast's intro music was provided by Jax Kellington. Murr Loves Horror

James "Murr" Murray joins the I Love Horror Podcast to discuss his career on "Impractical Jokers," his work as a horror novelist, and his new movie, "Don't Move," based on his award-winning book. We explore the independent filmmaking efforts behind bringing the story to the big screen, reveal some of the new cities where audiences can catch the movie, and discuss Murr's passion for creating horror. Of course, no episode would be complete without asking the big question: exactly why does Murr love horror? Naturally, the conversation comes with a few surprises and hilarious distractions. Murr plays a recording of some late-night movie ideas he came up with while exhausted, giving us a glimpse inside his wonderfully unpredictable creative process. I also surprise him with a signed poster from the first season of "Impractical Jokers," leading to a memorable reaction and a trip back to the show's earliest days. Between behind-the-scenes stories, independent filmmaking, bizarre movie pitches, and plenty of laughs, this episode offers a side of Murr that horror fans and "Impractical Jokers" viewers will not want to miss. Be sure to follow Murr & the "Don't Move" official Instagram Page with the following links below: - Murr's Instagram: @therealmurr - Don't Move Official Instagram Page: @DontMoveTheMovie - Get your tickets for "Don't Move" & Find it in Your Town on Their Official Website here The podcast's intro music was provided by Jax Kellington. Angie Shriner Loves Horror

Angie Shriner joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about her work with Killer Fitness, her audio drama "The Sex Worker & The Rhinoceros," and her spooky, nostalgia-fueled cardio dance experience, Terror Twist. We dive into the unique way she blends horror and fitness, the influence the genre has had on her life, and what it was like seeing her aunt on the big screen in "Edward Scissorhands" and "Pet Sematary." Of course, no episode would be complete without asking the big question: exactly why does Angie love horror? Naturally, the conversation takes plenty of entertaining detours along the way. We debate which celebrities we'd do the Time Warp with or bring back using the "Pet Sematary" treatment, while Angie gets especially excited when I bring up "Cool Rider" from "Grease 2." We also imagine what Carrie might be like as a stand-up comedian, tackle some truly bizarre icebreakers, and talk about Angie seeing "Buddy." Things only get stranger from there, with plenty of laughs, unexpected detours, and off-the-rails moments along the way. Be sure to follow Angie on all of her social media pages listed below: - Instagram: @angie.starheart @terror.twist (also check out her work with Killer Fitness on Instagram here) - Check out her audio drama "THE SEX WORKER AND THE RHINOCEROS" on Spotify here.  - Angie's website  The podcast's intro music was provided by Jax Kellington. Alaina Rahaim Loves horror

Alaina Rahaim joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about her career as a writer, playwright, actress, comedian, and member of the Polished Gentleman group. We get into her experiences with acting, how her improv skills come into play when creating short-form videos, her approach to writing, and what it's like balancing so many different creative outlets. Of course, we also find why Alania loves horror. Naturally, the conversation takes a few entertaining detours along the way. We put Alania's friend Christopher (a totally different Christopher that isn't me) on the spot for his questionable dislike of the "Leprechaun" movies, somehow find ourselves talking about Spanish-speaking Chucky, and I encourage Alania to give us a taste of her stand-up material on the podcast. 6th Anniversary Special: Found Footage Roundtable

It's time to celebrate in true horror fashion! This episode marks the 6th anniversary of the I Love Horror Podcast and my birthday, so what better way to celebrate than by diving headfirst into my favorite horror sub-genre: found footage? Joining me around the campfire are Chris Vander Kaay (writer and star of "Go To Sleep"), Elizabeth Vermilyea (star of "Hell House LLC 3: Lake of Fire" and "Hell House LLC: Lineage", and a returning friend of the podcast), and Sarah Nicklin (star of the "V/H/S Halloween" segment "Home Haunt"). Together, we put a stack of found footage films on trial to answer one important question: should their footage have been discovered... or should it have stayed buried somewhere deep in the woods? Expect plenty of laughs, horror hot takes, passionate debates, and the kind of chaotic conversations that happen when you gather a group of found footage fans around the same microphone. From hidden gems to infamous disasters, we celebrate everything that makes the sub-genre so addictive while handing out our completely scientific verdicts on which films deserved to be unearthed and which should've remained lost forever. Whether you're a lifelong found footage fanatic or just looking for your next creepy watch, this anniversary episode is packed with horror love, great company, and enough shaky cameras to make you check the tree line twice.
