Scott Barron Bio Scott Barron is an educator, entrepreneur, and author who is recognized as a leading voice advocating for and encouraging educators in their calling and in their faith. He serves as the Chief Reinvention Officer of School Growth LLC (schoolgrowth.com) and the Executive Director of Educators Fellowship (edfellowship.org). Scott earned his M.Ed from Johns Hopkins University, along with a B.A. in Religion and a B.S. in Computer Science from Mars Hill University. He serves on the National Advisory Council for the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, and recently published the acclaimed book, Love'em and Lead'em: Encouragement and Inspiration for Educators.     Motivated Forgetness: Choosing Wisely What to Let Go

    Memories have a way of sticking around. Even the hard stuff.  We tell ourselves we've moved on, but the truth has a way of showing up in our attitudes, our decisions, and the way we treat people. Sometimes the greatest obstacle to leading well into the future is holding on to yesterday.    In this episode of the Educators Among Us podcast, host Scott Barron, Chief Reinvention Officer with School Growth, argues that educators who want to build healthy cultures must learn to release offenses, disappointments, and old narratives that can rob them of their joy and influence.     Love What You Do: And The People You Do It With

    In professions of every type, and especially as an educator, we see incredibly gifted people who never quite fulfill their potential, while others with less natural ability consistently make a bigger impact. Why? Because talent is only the starting point.  When we love what we do, and the people we do it with, we energize and lift up our talents to make an impact for everyone with whom we engage.     Who's Your Teacher?: Learning as a Student of People

    Every person you meet knows something you don't. They have seen things you have not seen, carried experiences you have not carried, and learned lessons from places you may never go. They have something to teach us, if we are only willing to pause, and to listen.     Bust a Myth: Overcoming Pride and Prejudice to Learn More

    We all carry opinions about people, places, and situations we've never personally experienced. Sometimes those conclusions come from headlines, social media, secondhand stories, or simply what we've heard repeated often enough to accept as truth. But we must be willing to step beyond our comfort zones, engage with people directly, and discover that reality is often far richer and more complex than we imagined.
