We get into everything from sunglasses, to Bill Dance, to arapaima, to the retail fishing industry and of course, Redfish. I first fell in love with the mission of the crew at Bajio which is why I was so excited to sit down and listen to what Al had to say about not only the business, but also where the idea behind it all came from. He is definitely someone that has seen all aspects of our industry and has chosen to dig against the grain of normal retail operations in order to do the things that need to be done to save the places that we love most as fishermen.     The Redfish Podcast Ep. 5 "The Final Countdown"

    In this episode, we sit down for a quick rundown of two agenda items on the upcoming October 5th meeting. As we saw back in July, this will be another crucial meeting to furthering the notion of change for the better in our redfish fishery. We touch on the menhaden industry as that is a topic coming up as one of the agenda items, as well as go over the long list of reasons to support this NOI and LDWF in this matter while also touching on the short list of opposition claims and why some of them will not hold up in the upcoming meeting. We also wanted to remind everyone about the upcoming comment period that is coming to an end so hurry up and get your comments in to jadriance@wlf.la.gov. Shane takes one of the topics personally and tells us how he was quite literally born in the waters of Port Sulpher while Dave tells us about his love for math and how some peoples math just aint mathin.
