Let's Talk About Grief - What's in your grief case?

Today we are talking about grief—an emotion we often dismiss, assuming it should only last for a short period. That is far from the truth. Grief is an enduring experience, and it is so important to feel, deal, and heal. This conversation explores feelings, life, suicide, and the different types of grief, including ambiguous grief, delayed grief, anticipatory grief, and normal grief. We also discuss why corporate America typically grants only three days of bereavement leave, often failing to account for the loss of a friend, aunt, cousin, or emotional support pet. We also highlight the reality of caregiver grief. Additionally, Dr. Kence highlights the Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, reminding us that kindness is something needed every day and everywhere. The Cheerful Giver (Replay)

On the podcast today, we are sharing a God and Therapy Podcast favorite: The Cheerful Giver Today's episode was originally aired on March 24, 2025 In this podcast episode, Dr. Cheryl Hardy talks about being a cheerful giver. Are you a cheerful giver when it comes to making a new path in life? On today's episode of The God and Therapy Podcast, Dr. Cheryl Hardy asks us this question: Are you willing to break some old habits that are clearly not working in your life? As she was reading a post on Facebook by English for Career; she came across a list that she feels is a good blueprint for life. The following habits stood out to Dr. Hardy: Practice mindfulness Read something new Eat balanced meals Begin journaling Drop bad habits Set new goals Manage your finances better Invest Embrace change Reflect on your purpose Now, pick the ones that work for you and go forth and make a move toward those personal goals. Be a cheerful giver to your heart so it will flow well; to your body to live well, and your mind to think well. 2 Corinthians 9: 6-7 We are looking forward to you being a part of the God and Therapy Community.
